So my best frontman is Ian McCulloch.
Other very good ones:
Brian Molko (Placebo)
Morrissey (The Smiths)
James Dean Bradfield (Manic Street Preachers)
Bono (U2)
Marilyn Manson (M. Manson)
Matthew Bellamy (Muse) -- really amazing vocal reach he has
Peter Murphy (Bauhaus)
Nicola Sirkis (Indochine)
Worst lead singers:
Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit)
Rob Zombie (White Zombie)
...
difficult one, most singers I dislike happen to be solo vocalists...
Best:
Definetely Lynott of Thin Lizzy
Top 3 : Bono
Liam Gallagher
Michael Stipe
Worst 3 : Chris Martin
Jon Bon Jovi
Adam Duritz
Only did modern bands, obviously Morrison etc would prob make top 3 otherwise
On the basis of my own opinion. And here are my reasons:Quote:

Justin Hawkins:Thinks he the real rock frontman whilst he nothing but a whiny frontman fronting a fairly average band
Bono: Smug self important git, He does bring public attention to a lot of worthy causes but this is what I think anyone with his fame should be doing. U2 are a fairly average band(although i do like a few of their songs) they are the most overratted band on the planet

one for the best front men doing the rounds at the moment has to be
Ollie Cole - turn
Feargal McKee of Whipping Boy was always impressive. I see he has solo stuff due out soon. I'm awaiting that with interest.
Because of my hatred of his band, I don't like Ian McCulloch, sorry!!! As for Brian Molko, he is a terrible front man, you actually have to struggle to see him on stage, what is he 4 foot 1'?????
Also I have to disagree with Ollie Cole of Turn, I don't like him since he drew a penis on my back  LONG story!!!
ollie hates shels :)Quote:

As for Brian: he's got charisma, a very interesting view on the world, a special voice, sexy looks, and his size... well, doesn't matter that much :D (as in: you're right about that)
Was it a trace?Quote:

I think Bono (despite the bullshlt U2 put on a fantastic show), Freddie Mercury, Michael Hutchence are pretty much up there. Honourable mention to Liam O'Maonlai from the Hothouse flowers by the way.
With more mellow stuff I'm going to give thumbs up to Glen Hansard with the proviso that he sings more and stops making the audience sing it back to him (I paid to fcuking hear him sing, not to sing myself) and I'm giving a major thumbs down to Mick Hucknall of Simply Red.
Two so called wild rockers that I can't stand are Fred Durst and Johnny Rotten.
Lazy fecker . Schumi has done it now so it's ok :DQuote:

Did anyone mention Richard Ashcroft.
He's gotta get in as the ultimate pop/ rock frontman.
