2023 Predictions League: Series 1 [17th/18th February]
The 2023 Predictions League is back before you know it, marking another year! Give it your best shot and make as many predictions as possible. Just one missed round of games could be the factor that decides whether you win or lose the championship at the end of the season.
Points System:
2 points for result (Correctly predicting a matches outcome).
1 point for margin of victory.
1 point for a home teams score.
1 point for an away teams score
Maximum 5 points per game.
Bonus Points
The following is a list of bonus points that users will get for following positions. This only applies in a series of matches (i.e Series 1, Series 2, etc.).
1st - 10 Points
2nd - 8 Points
3rd - 6 Points
4th - 4 Points
5th - 2 Points
In the event of matches postponed in a match series, the points that arise from these games are retrospectively updated to the original match series results. Bonus points from those series will be added after all matches are logged.
In terms of the series table, if two or more users achieve the same points tally, they are deemed the same position and if in top 5, all concerned get the full bonus points.
The user who amasses the highest cumulative points total (combination of individual matches and series bonus points) over all games from the Premier Division and First Division will become the champion.
In the event of cumulative points been equal in the league table, the following is the order that determines the higher ranking;
1) Scores - 2) Results - 3) Points - 4) Bonus - 5) Weekly Wins - 6) Highest Weekly Score
PLEASE REMEMBER, YOU MUST PREDICT YOUR SCORES BEFORE THE KICK-OFF TIME. ANY PREDICTIONS MADE AFTER, EVEN IF IT IS 1 SECOND LATE, WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED [They may be accepted in exceptional circumstances]
Just like last season the the Top 10 in the final table (+ cup winner if not in Top 10) will qualify for a predictions league in 2024/25 European campaign involving Irish sides only. So, it gives you something extra to play for if you are no longer in the running for the title.
