Tom Cannon named on the bench for Everton's EFL cup game.
Makes his debut in the 81st minute, replacing Maupay.
Let's hope we look back at last night as the time his career blasted off even if he couldn't fire his team to victory as they were fodder for Bournemouth at that stage anyway.
Deep breaths there Tets.
He’s got a short fuse when it comes this sort of carry on, Crafty. You might be muzzled.
Tets has a Canon for this type of thing.
He made a balls of one chance I hear.
(Speaking of which: wasn't it Tommy Cannon and Bobby Ball?)
I hear his appearance was something of a damp squib.
It's been a day
Move on
He's really shot to the fore lately. Not too many players make a Premier League debut on the first page of their thread here?
Pity Lampard won’t last much longer, just as Cannon getting some game time
Is he a striker? Never heard of him before. Has he played for our underage teams?
Was unlucky that the 2002 group lost their u19 championship because of covid. He was an u19 a year young, as an u18 before covid hit. And he played for the u20s when they played against the amateurs last year. Himself, Hodge and Leavy were the standouts.
He’s scored a tonne of goals for Everton u18s and 21s over the last 3 years.
Between him & Hodge we all have a good few quid riding on these nanas, lets hope they played a big game in these childhoods lads.
Can you name the other 199 Republic of Ireland players with Premier League appearances?
https://www.sporcle.com/games/IrishA...ue-appearances
(note - does not include any player who has changed international allegiance from the Republic of Ireland)
Is it a lot of work to make surnames eligible answers? Spent forever trying different variations of the spelling of Stephen (to give one example)
Sorry, I thought I selected that when I created the quiz. Surnames should work now
Good quiz but I think the time allowed should be pushed out to 30 minutes. 200 names in 20 minutes is 10 names a minute which is nearly impossible to type, even before allowing for thinking time!
Maximum time on sporcle is 25 minutes, so I've changed it to that
So far there's been 106 attempts, and the highest correct answers is 156
Two players have not been guessed by anyone who's taken the quiz
Two players have been guessed by 95% of the people who've taken the quiz
I got 137 - missed a few clangers.
Struggled to 117 and left out a lot of very obvious ones, including a number of current internationals.
The high score on the quiz is now 180, which is an amazing score
All answers have now been guessed at least once
The average score is 105
It’s a great distraction. Loved it. I managed to remember Alan Maybury but forget Ian Harte!
Got 121, there are some names there Ive never heard of.
122 here. That's frustrating, but every couple of minutes you hit a bunch and it pushes your score up and motivates you to keep going.
SPOILER: Hunt, Doyle, Walters, Obafemi, Lawrence and Carr the main ones I missed. None of them glaringly embarrassing I think! Plenty there I'd never even heard of alright.
one person got 188, which is phenomenal
16 people got less than ten.
In actual Tom Cannon news, he's with the Everton squad going to Australia to play Celtic and Western Sydney Wanderers in the Sydney Super Cup
I got 144. Missed a few obvious ones, but there are quite a few I'd never have guessed.
Great quiz. I didn't do too well, 88 I think. But did anyone else get the former Longford Town player?
