Saturday 25th January:
Munster Junior Cup 4th Round: Coachford 2 Cashel Town 0; St John Boscos 0 Village Utd 3; St Mary's 3 St Michaels 4.
Decent win for Coachford and good effort by Mary's second string against the holders.
Village now at home to winners of Doolans Cow or Glin. Some local derby that would be.
Waterford Crystal 1-0 Newmarket Celtic.
Fairview Rangers 3-1 Clonmel Town
Pike Rovers 2-0 Pearse Celtic
Doolan's Cow 1-0 Glin Rovers
Geraldines 3-2 Killavilla United
Abbeyfeale United 2-1 Carrigaline United.
Aisling Annacotty 5-2 Killarney Athletic
Wilton United 3-1 Lifford
Shannon Town 2-2 Dungarvan United AET (Dungarvan won on pens).
Regional Utd B 1 Macroom A 1 (Regional won 5-4 on pens aet)
Wilton Utd 3 Lifford AFC 1
Drinagh Rgs 4 College Corinthians 1
Some going by Regional to have 2 teams in the last 16. B side gonna have it tough away to Michaels now though.
Fine achievement alright. Pretty sure Regional B had another good run in this competition in the past couple of years. No pressure on them next day, Micks would be huge favourites to progress.
Village United 4-3 Doolan's Cow
Abbeyfeale United 5-0 Wilton United
Good win for Village utd, momentum was with Doolans for extra time having come from 3-1 down but Village are a very good side and current AOH Cup holders in Cork. Home draw in last 8 v Waterford Crystal will be tough but what an oppurtunity to reach the last 4.
Hearing of a possible objection by Doolans Cow!!! Anyone able to expand??
Pike Rovers 5-1 Geraldines
Regional United 0-1 Coachford
Aisling Annacotty 5-0 Drinagh Rangers
Fairview Rangers 3-0 Stradbally
Big win for Coachford in Limerick today.
Quarter Final Draw
Village Utd v Waterford Crystal
Fairview Rgs v Pike Rvs
Coachford v Ashling Annacotty
Abbeyfeale Utd v St Michael’s or Regional Utd “B” (February 29th)
Games to take place on or before 7th/8th March 2020.
Any idea what is the protest of CBL20 ? usually something to do with player eligibility?
Munster Junior Cup Quarter Final Update!
Doolan's Cow FC (Cork Business League) v Waterford Crystal FC (Waterford and District Junior League)
Sunday, March 15th 2020 @ Mayfield Sports Complex KO 14:00
So what got Village eliminated then CBL20? What was the appeal for?
Something to do with a guy signed from Mayfield being illegible im hearing.
Thanks Jake, Seemed to have touched a nerve with one of his favourite teams.
Im Just nosey Silvermint, doesnt always have to be a sinister reason behind everything you know. Relax. Id say most people would ask the reason for them being thrown out?
Ask away I'm just saying it's like your stirng..cow having an amazing season
Coachford 0 Aisling Annacotty 1
Fairview Rangers 1-0 Pike Rovers.
Bad,bad month for Pike, defeats in Fai,Local Cup[Tuohy] and now Mjc and all to the View..Even enough game ,conditions poor.Great finish from Ross Mann to win it .pikes only clearcut chance came directly after but Mawdsly missed a sitter his tame effort saved by Savage.
Delighted for the view. Hopefully they can go on and win the fai and mjc
Live commentary on 95fm of first semi today at 5 between Fairview and St Michaels.
Dilettante. That’s a new one. Had to look it up. Bit unfair to the two lads, considering both of their footballing lives to say they have no commitment to or knowledge of the game.
Fairview big favourites today surely
Big favourites airight TG however defeat today a disaster considering the defeats of Pike and ST.Micheals in previous rounds.Maybe View believed the general concensus that all they had to do was turn up,barely created a worthwhile chance ,lacked discipline and while the last chance saloon of bringing on a centrehalf almost paid dividends its a reflection of what everyone thought was squad depth.Gotta hand it to Aisling ,got the shape of team right ,defended very well ,historic win for them.Hopefully View can pick themselves up for Fai.
Historic win for Aisling Annacotty. Have they won either of the big two trophies in Limerick before?
