I assume Bohs and Cork will play reserve sides against Rovers and Waterford
Given Bohs 19's were playing yesterday (I think) you have to see Waterford as winning there.
Dundalk wrap it up I guess
Derry the latest team faced with an utter mangling at the cauldron of pain that is the Markets Field.
Dundalk will be fully expected to win tomorrow, I think the team will want to get the league won at the first attempt from the 4 left. Should be a good night, trophy won’t be presented until after the final home game (Sligo) in two weeks time, but that won’t stop the celebrations tomorrow night for the supporters if we get the job done.
4 League titles in 5 seasons is some going for Kenny’s first 6 years in charge. I wouldn’t bet against a 5th title in 6 years either next season.
Will be interesting to see how Bohs shape up against Waterford with their eye on the bigger match on Monday, and same to an extent for Cork away to Rovers.
I've put all my money on Rovers and Rovers-1 anyway.
Apart from Kelly and Casey, I have no idea who will be in the Bohs team tomorrow. anyone going to Dalymount should bring their boots, it could be our big chance :D
Waterford 23/20 could be a gift as well I am thinking :ball:
I'm also on the rovers -1, -2 money train
Bohs v Waterford is the match every bettor will be over.
v decent risk there on the wats side
Dundalk probably couldn't have picked an easier game to win the league. 6-0 Dundalk, a goal just before half time and just after half time as usual
Sadlier the only player who started last Friday in the starting 11. Rovers - 1 still 6/4!
Pats and Dundalk keepers both wearing the same kit (bright orange). Where's Buttimer if you need him?
I hope Dundalk are losing 1-0 going into injury time and Rogers goes up for a corner, catches the ball and throws it into the net.
Shels draw first blood. Rooting for them for the sole reason it will be an easy away trip for me.
Drogs denied stone wall penalty by the sound of things
Woo hoo. Fantastic. Would be superb if we could hang on to this. Long way to go though.
Well done Georgie Kelly; was in the Bowl two weeks ago to collect his First Division medal, and now gets a Premier Division medal as well.
Can't be too many have that double?
Congrats to Dundalk. Has been all but done and dusted for a while. Thought we were very good tonight, and came so close to winning it. Great gutsy display. We need to be like that every game.
Well if you’re going to win a league title, you might as well win it with a beautiful goal like that.
I’d say Hoban will score more in Ridley’s tonight than he has on the pitch all season.
Thats one to bank for the LoI trivia for down the line! Great night, if winning the league was a formality it would have been a bit of an anti-climax to be champions on the back of a defeat. It wouldnt be Dundalk FC if us fans didnt get put through the wringer. Pat Hoban looked quite emotional after scoring and taking that record, a few years of frustration in England has made him a hungry player and now that he has gotten the 26th league goal he might bang in another few before the league finishes. Nothing unlucky about No 13 tonight!!!
Fair play dundalk , best team in the league no question.
Enjoyable game in Tallaght Tonight some good football, rovers just couldn't score.
How were Cork's 2nd string? Talk of rover -1 and -2 I thought was legit considering the game Monday for Cork and the race for 3rd spot being so tight. If Cork have that strength in depth then there is plenty to work with for Caulfield in the close season without needing wholesale changes.
Cork were poor. But basically 2nd string and unmotivated so what can you expect.
Could have been 3 or 4.
Irrelevant hopefully on monday
Yawn.
I meant hopefully rovers failure to score will be irrelevant on Monday if cork beat bohs in the semi.
3rd or 4th place won't matter
You have to go all the way back to 2017.
John Kavanagh
Patrick Hoban after scoring a 89th minute goal to guarantee the league title and get the Premier Division goal scoring record. A lot of bad memories from three tough seasons in English football were exorcised.

Congratulations to Dundalk.
