an average week i would drink
about 8 to 12 pints ,3 bottles of wine & a few (about 3) shots of scotch- (only if i'm in a pub).
mostly drink at home myself

On fridays after the Saints match 3-10 pints depending on the result
The same on Saturday nights, but depending on how much I had the night before
Don't drink midweek anymore. (unless special occasion) Not able to get up for work next day
I'd say about, 6/7 pints and maybe 4/5 shots of JD in a week.
6 or 7 pints in a week. All on a weekend. No shots, no wine, no cocktails. Just pints.

Very little usually (drank bucketloads last weekend though)

Can't do the pub on worknights anymore, pay too heavy a price.
Usually drive to matches/gigs so wouldn't drink at them often.
Depending who I'm out with it's usually two/three pints and a chat if I do head to the pub, a sign I'm getting old now :o

Don't drink during the week - coming into work with a hangover is not for me - and gave it up for Lent (and kept it!!) but now I'm back on the sauce, an average night is 6-8 pints, and maybe a shot or 2 of vodka.
on average i would say i drink maybe about 7 - pints a week with average of one shot during that time .. pretty poor for a student i know!
Do you find if you have not drank a drink in over 7 days you long for one?
A couple of bottles of wine a week easy.
If I go out with work, it used to be 5 or 6 pints on a Thurs and/or Friday night, then out after that on the vodka. But I came home in so wasted so many times, Ive cut back.
This week will be alot worse though, work are taking us out for the day for hitting target and are paying.
Last time this happened there was an awful lot of drink involved, but its good fun :D
Without a doubt. Last night, I hadn't drank in 2 days. I was thirsty for pints of Guinness after the match. Therefore, I went for scoops with other foot.ie users $Leon$, Don Vito, theGreenHen, and Dolby126. And yes, Don and Dolby got on like a house on fire.Quote:

I get those cramps in my side too that pronane mentioned. It's your liver literally heaving under the strain.
Emmm...... after wanderers matches i'd go for 4 or 5 in the hibo. Saturdays i'd have 4-6 pints before heading clubbing. Where i'd have 10 vodkas and red bulls( buy them in 2's , it's cheaper) :p , and a couple of shots of the sweet sambuca!!! Depending on the occasion. Only drink Friday and Saturdays... :) Very rarely during the week!!! Only if United are playing a very important game!!! ;)

i normally do 2 nights a week (Fri&Sat - cant handle the next day, so very rare for me to venture out midweek)...
Id say id drink 8-11 pints per night with a few halfs thrown in. Depends though...i drunk thur/fri/sat/sun/mon over Easter. :confused:
When we travel to Dublin for example, theres a good 6-8 cans in there before the bar before the game....we usually end up in Ardee until 2am before arriving back to Derry at 4.30/5am
Going to a night club I wud drink 4-6 pints & a 3-4 shots. But then going to the pub(not going to a nite club after) I would only drink 1-2 pints and fizzy pop. But im not a big drinker but all my m8s are alcos and they are only 17/18.
Would you remember your whole night though? I could drink as much as I wanted if I was drinking a pint ever 45-60 minutes but if I wanted to enjoy myself and have a pint ever half hour I'd be blanked out after only my 8th. :eek: I still continue drinking and am told I still seem fine.Quote:

You've been drinking since you were 12?? I am 25, 26 this year, and I didn't have much interest in drinking until I was 18. I never black out. Could be cos I wouldn't drink too heavily. I get a bit smily-er when drinking and when I feel I have had enough I stop. Most people I know, when they feel they have had enough they hit shots!
I do get sleepy fast if I drink very slowly.
Drinking during the day wrecks me. End up shattered, and fit for nothing.
I didnt really get into drinking till I was 17, and started working in a pub. Then it was all down hill.

Spot on. Im not having a go at my mates, people move on, things change. when we were 18/19 without fail, every week we were all out together. Even during uni, we always made time to hook up when we were back in London. Now we all live round the corner from each other, but they tend to have other things on. I think they might all be growing up and getting sensible :eek:Quote:

Everyones different. but the 3 mates in particular im thinking about will be friends for life. We lasted going to different unis, and now for 2 of them, living in a whole other parts of the country. things change, and we never see each other compared to what we used to, but I know they will be my friends for a good while cos when we do meet up, its like nothings changed, a huge big sesh and a night of laughter. just a pity its not as often as id likeQuote:

I used to make up drinks at a bar(if i had money) and name them. The one most famous for me is the Goo Goo Juice, Its a mixture of Double Vodka, Double Gin, Smirnoff Ice and Red Bull in a pint glass(mainly niteclub drink). I swore a year ago that i would stop this crazyness but i had one on Sunday Nite :rolleyes: .
I'd say on Usual i used to go out Fri/Sat/Sun(making the odd monday morning in work) without fail and then probably 2 others out of Mon,Tue,Wed,thur. Cant do it anymore though. Maybe having a kid is the best thing to happen to me for more than one reason.
I do find however that with Guinness, i can have quite a few more beers than the chemically enhanced pints like bud etc.
BTW have any of you heard of the famous Goo Goo Juice ?????
Whats all this crap about getting old and sensible, i thought when i hit 30 (im 31 now) id be settled down, not a chance, still up to the same old carry on and i keep a gf happy (i think :D ) at the same time ;)
I've mates 35 and over who still go on weekend benders, age means nowt.
Had something similar in UL called The Soup, peach schnapps, vodka, cointreau and a can of red bull, served in a pint glass. Gets you good and plastered! One of my mates had 8 one night and we had to carry him home.Quote:

Never get really drunk.. I think it is disgraceful to see girls hammered falling all over the place puking ect.. ect. happened once to me and I was so ashamed didn't drink for weeks never again.. Know people will disagree with me but IMO theres nothing worse than seeing a girl completely hammered..
I like getting drunk and having a laugh but know my limits..
I go out 4 nights a week give or take a night depending on the mood im in, usually thursday to sundays and maybe one mid week night just for a couple(in the process of trying to cut that down to 2 nights though).
A normal weekend night would be anywhere between 10 and 15 pints and then maybe go on southern comfort and red depending on how much of a session i want to make of it (swap pints for cans of dutchy when things are bad money wise) - though if ive work the next day I try not to have more than 10 pints.
