Next Tuesday night @ The Maradyke
While the move to summer football has been a good one IMO such as helping in terms of European results, the downside is definately a lack of big names like cross channel teams for pre season friendlies.
There's only so many MSL teams you can play...
We should try to get one of the 'big' Dublin clubs down for maybe next Wed.

I guess you can look at the glass half empty if you want to, but things are not that bad, and that "same hand we had last season" would be gladly held by most of the managers in this league.

This will be a mighty good test for City
EDIT
Just found out it actually the UCC B team that City are playing. The B team have an important competition coming up. Pity it aint the Senior team
My God.....we're playing UCC's B Team
Jesus...... that is really scraping the bottom of the barrel.
It's not really about the teams we play, it's about getting 90 minutes action for the starting 11, to boost their fitnessQuote:

What a ridiculous time to have a match in midweek. Not all of us are tax dodgers and I, for one, do not listen to The Levellers. :D I do have a first class degree from the University of Life though. Man!Quote:

2-0 City.
Behan and Tynan
McNulty

??? (rb) subbed for Lordan
Nwanko (middle)
Roy O Donovan (left)
Tynan (right)

Long
Behan

Derek clearly not match fit, putting a few stray balls around. Itll take a while to see him back at his best I suppose.
Crowd of around 100.
Thats becoming quite a nice habit......Quote:

Thats not a full time score lads.
3-0 now, an O.G.
far from a first team out as well
3-0 when I left, there was about 10 minutes to go.
3-0 Ft
3rd goal was real quality
A few young fellas got a run out including Karl Caulfield and (I think) Conor/Colm O'Sullivan. A young centre back (Stephen something) also played - he appeared once or twice for the U21's last season.
I'm no fan of Tynan but he played quite well today.
Nwankwo, who I thought was a better player, was brutal altogether IMO. can't see him lasting under Rico.
Not much else really..
GOD NOOOoOoooooo  :DQuote:
