Given the inconsistent form we have witnessed lately. It won't be easy. I still predict we will win here tho. 2-1.
Big away support expected. Good to see the fans remaining loyal during this dreadful run.

Owed a performance now and things will get nasty if any of em think they are gonna go down and stroll around the place.
This'll be tougher than it appears from just looking at league tables. Waterford look uncatchable, no playoffs, so a cup run is all Cobh have left to play for. Limerick have other things to distract them. Should still win, but wouldn't be stunned if they lost either.
Unless we play kids its unacceptable to lose this imo I don't care how well they are doing in first division if full time pros can't go and beat em then it shows what they are made of.
No excuse for it, but I only give us 50% chance of getting through the tie. We are poor and unmotivated.
Anything less than a win is completely unacceptable. And I'd be far from confident f getting that win.
If our beloved team do their usual away routine and don't try a leg I can see the Blue Armys new family friendly happy clappy image shattering.
You can hide behind the board and the nonsense up in Derry and up in Oriel. There's no place to hide in St Colman's Park (cos it's tiny)
Would be nice if some of our remaining superstars drew a sweat.
Yup, heading down Saturday but really expect to see us turned over. Possibly 2-1. Sad state of affairs we're in.
I have an awful feeling about this one, I mean if you were a neutral looking for a shock on a betting slip, you'd be eyeing up this game lets face it.
How many did we stick past Cobh in the promotion season, 12 / 13 goals ?
They were also the only time to beat us (albeit with the title won). The blanket negativity displayed on this page is a sad indictment of how things have fallen out in the last month, but the team could still pull things together. Losing 3-0 to Dundalk away is one thing but I'm hoping for some kind of response this weekend. Beat Cobh, bit of luck in the draw for the next round (a few guaranteed non-league teams), could be looking at last 8.
Our odds (Cobh) are awful suggesting the bookies think we've a chance. Best i'd be hoping for is to take ye to penos, we've a solid defense so if we could shut ye ut for the 90 anything can happen. Wouldn't be very confident though given your status and the squad you have. Hopefully there will be a good atmosphere I always enjoy the Limerick games.
Our attack is misfiring if they even get chances, and our defence is leaking goals at an alarming rate. Cobh have a good chance.
2 shots on target in last 2 games. Both shots utterly harmless too.
Noel O'Connor returns to the commentary booth for this one; Limerick Soccer Live will be on air from 19.40pm at www.mixlr.com/limerick-soccer-live :ball:
Thank f*ck for this.
The manager's faith in Garbhan was slightly baffling but it seems to have done wonders for his confidence.
Good all round performance especially from Bastian. Ran midfield.
Good result and by the sounds of it a decent performance so credit to the players and the manager.excellent coverage from Alan o Brien and Noel o Connor,o Connors analysis quality.
Much more straightforward than expected. Here's to a favourable draw.
How did the new lad upfront look when he came on ?
He looks handy. Very good footwork. More of a link up player I reckon. Doesn't look like a dud.
a very easy win but we could have easily gone behind with some comical defending from set pieces from the start. "are ye coaching them at all?" shouted one supporter at the bench. Goals came easy as this was a very very young Cobh team. Playing young players in this stage of a competition is ok if we are preparing ourselves for the first division but make no mistake they are not good enough for the premier.
So we won with a clean sheet & hit three, while giving youngsters a run out, away from home in a competitive game. And its still all wrong wrong wrong, because of what almost happened and what might happen at some unspecified stage in the future.
Fair enough so.
Either you weren't at the game or were goofing off when the Cobh number 7 and his mate were lining up to slot home a set piece, this was despite the whole ground screaming that they were free and only poor first division finishing let us off the hook. We were straight up defensively poor last night but as they say a win is a win. That back 4 will get it royally by Rovers based on that performance ....
Try not to sound so gleeful.
We'll try again so....were you at the game?
Me ? Or are you asking NeverFeltBetter again ?
I'm referring only to the tone of a person who sounds like they welcome the possibility of a drubbing at various oppositions hands, and appears to have registered on this forum for the sole purpose of doing so.
Wouldn't say I talked anything up, I just picked out the positives from a game we won against Cobh, which was far from certain we would win in light of recent events and results. I did it in a Cobh match thread, where I also asked how the new lad got on upfront, which might be your clue as to whether I was there or not ? :)
Did you answer on how the new lad got on ? You were there after all
Naw, you came on banging on about how that back four wouldn't do against Prem opposition. We won, its nice we won, we could have gotten dumped out of the cup by a club we should not be losing to, its not talking anything up to be glad that didn't happen.
We hardly need to wait til tomorrow to see how good this back four is we knew long before Cobh it's not good enough.
