Will you be getting / signing up with Setanta so you can see the Setanta Cup?
I will. All the additional matches ( e.g. SPL, Premiership, Continental ) will be a bonus too!

Yeah I'll get it for the 2 months the Setanta Cup is on but I'll probably get rid of it again after that unless they start showing live el on a regualr basis.
Same here, won't pay for sky, so not able to get Setanta. Would consider it if they made a committment to the eL - Full highlights, live/delayed coverage of several eL games a week......Quote:

But if you have a 12 month contract wth Sky Digital can you then just sign up to Setanta Sports on a month by month basis a la Sky Sports?Quote:

Or we could all find a clever pub manager who's got it already and become Neo-Barstoolers :D
Im guessing somewhere like the TCT will have it
Is that with Chorus?Quote:

What other soccer do they show apart from SPL?
F1 on it from this season as well.
Saturday afternoon Premiership games and Serie A.Quote:

The way I'd look at it though Eanna is that for two months they will have regular coverage of eircom league teams playing in the Setanta Cup so it would be worth it.Quote:

dont they show full el games on saturday morningsQuote:

I certainly will..................and I'll be ordering him to watch the rugby and cricket as well.anything other than the abominable Ozzy Rules and G.A.A. mud wrestling.
I've already got it as part of the NTL package. It was added on free. Every second saturday live PL, every Sunday SPL, Celtic League Rugby and Leinster Schools Rugby. Looking forward to watching the Setanta Cup too.
could it have been anywhere else? ;)Quote:

More live Irish Club football in one month than you get out of all the other channels in a year. It's the proverbial 'no-brainer'......
Chorus do have it. €12.99 per month. Info courtesy of the corner.Quote:

Pity they won't show the fixture list for the Setanta Cup on their website!!!
I will be trying to get to a few of the games myself.
I pay too much to Sky as it stands, I think a pub will do me for games I cant attend.
I get it for free but if I didn't I'd sign up. They mentioned wanting to show around 10 league games at one stage too iirc, and the Setanta cup ofc. They also mentioned some kind of programme about the EL that didn't involve live matches, I'm guessing highlights, so it'll be worth signing up for if all of this happens. Throw in live EPL, Serie A and coverage of the other matches in Irelands WCQ group and it's a great channel to have.
Have just had a look at the site in Setanta's website for signing-up.
You have to put in your phone number - which might scupper it for exiles like myself with Irish Sky cards.
I'm gonna try just putting a '+44' at the front of my number and hope it still works through the automated system (I don't fancy ringing-up and trying to explain why I've got a London phone number in Galway :o). But as I won't be signing up until just before the competition starts, I won't know for another month or so if that works !
Will keep anyone who's interested posted.
It better feckin' work.....
We get Setanta as part of ntl package in Waterford too so no need to pay extra for it. :D
Get a cheap Irish pay as you go mobile? You don't have to be connected to a land line for the sky box, so you can justifably say you don't have one....Quote:

Could one of your family ring pretending to be you? I suspect you must have to do this to get your Irish Sky card?Quote:

If you sign-up online it should all be done automatically, so even if they need to use my number hopefully the +44 bit will work and Setanta's automated system will be none-the-wiser. If the phone number is only to fill a box on the form I'll take-up Davos on his kind offer of using his X-Rated dirty chat line mobile number, or will just make any aul one up :)
'T-minus' 4 weeks to trying it all out....! Will let everyone know how it goes so us exiles can get Setanta access cracked.
