Sh it. That's bad news for us.Quote:

He is really comfortable on the ball, never gives it away and is rarely caught out i.e. does job number 1 for a full back very well. He will not offer many options going forward - though maybe he was just unable to do that with us because he rarely got a lot of support from the left winger (Rossi Cosgrave).
I hope he has a sh it trial and arrives back down here for the season.
As far as I know Fyffe, Finucane, and obviously Kulsten have yet to sign. Not good news.....
IMO Kulsten is going to be a big loss for Limerick if he does join Pat's. I thought he did really well last season. Very solid and dependable full-back. I wonder if he was approached at all by NOC to sign this season? And if not, WHY? Or is it a case that Kulsten is determined to play Premier football?
i was talking to kulsten one night after a game and he made it clear that he was using limerick as a stepping stone to the premier league, and its hard to blame him ,every player should have ambition to better themselves,i thought he was a very nice player, though he was a bit light for a full back .
Hopefully he will get to the premier division - with Limerick. :ball:Quote:

I don't know if he was having a bad day or what, but I have only seen this guy playing once (in terryland) and I thought he was useless :(
I voted for him as the player of the year last season in the supporters player of the year, then again again I voted for Starsky as clubman of the year. But seriously Kulsten is a very good fullback, by his own admission he said back in Holland that they didn´t have to defend the way Limerick did so it took him a few games to adjust. For a light guy he´s not afraid to put in the tackle, I remember against Bray he robbed the ball of Wes Charles who was charging up the field by simply stepping over and flicking the ball away, it was pure class. He´s very good at taking set pieces as well. It would be fantastic if we resigned him so here´s hoping.
Terrific player, took a few games to find his feet, but I don't think I ever saw a winger get past him. Deceptive pace, strong in the tackle, not bad in the air, distribution is basic enough but reliable as well.
I think he'd be an excellent signing for almost any club in the league.
Yalmard is a class player would walk onto most teams in the loi . if ye can snapp him up!
One of the most positive aspects of last season's campaign so Pats should snap him up if they can. Wonder did Drew or Noel contact him about coming back to us? With a princely sum of $50 on the table how would he be able to say no!!
some one rang him but it was never followed up he was left sitting not having a clue what was happening he was released to play for a dutch team he is getting a trial with pats .
What a waste!Quote:

Speaking of ex players whatever became of Dom Kelly or Dommo as the hordes of home fans used to refer to him as? I remember him being a legend down the wing in his first few games under Tommy Lynch. He missed a pen in a league cup match one night and never recovered after that! I think Ray O'Halloran got his only ever red card the same night. Dommo spent time with Tranmere if my memory serves me correct
Don't think Kelly ever made the Tranmere first XI though I think he was on their books for a few years. Dunno what became of him after that to be honest... maybe he could be tempted back?! ;)Quote:

Wages on offer also effect the quality of player that the club can attract, so I see nothing wrong with what jebus saidQuote:

To be quite honest I really wouldn't care Willie. But nice to see you return from your office/grave to give us your input. Who would your informants be by the way? Nice way to treat us supporters of the club as well, I can now rest easy knowing the club is in good hands
Why don'tyou give us the story instead if you're so knowledgable? It's blatantly obvious that you're suckling the club teet so why not tell people what's happening rather than just trying to pick fights? :rolleyes:Quote:

I seem to recall that you liked to talk about last seasons budget when you slagged, not criticise because that would suggest objectivity and the ability to analyse which to be honest you seem to lack, Mike Kerley and wanted him gone. You had no problem when you publicly announced the budget Mike had nor did you disclose how you came to know this information. I don´t think you are in any position to tell any one who posts here to stop writing "crap" when the only person guilty of such a crime is you.
Jaysus man relax. If a player wants to go on and try his luck in the premier good luck to him. He is having a trial. Hopefully for him it works out - and in that case it is very difficult for any first division club to hold on to good players when premier ones come calling. It is the nature of the game. :ball:Quote:

It's been discussed at some length actually, occasionally on this forum if you go back to a time before you graced us with your presence! :)Quote:

I'm presuming that is a rhetorical question epecially when you consider that we discuss eveything else here like players budget for a season in this forum :rolleyes:Quote:

yalmard signed for sligo now any way
Bo llocks. Sorry I can't be more eloquent. :(Quote:

Giving trials to some pretty sh*t players at the moment, yet they can't hold on to one of the best players we had. I'm impressed....Quote:

crazy thing was he wanted to stay at limerick it would nt have been a hassle to resign him . but he was nt offered a decent contract if he was offered any at all !
Again it comes back to what the club is willing to offer players. They make that call. If a player will play great - but some will move on. :ball:Quote:

Well at the moment, it appears on the face of it that more money is being put into other areas of the club than in the team. I can understand that for this season, as Hogan Park has to be brought up to standard etc. But seeing that the club plan to have a 7,500 seater stadium in the next 5 years, is this going to be the norm over the coming seasons? Could very well be doing a Kilkenny City for a few years...
No that sums it up pretty well mate! :(Quote:
