Lot of Liverpool and Chelsea fans on leeside
Harps behind early v Longford. 0-1
I am a bit surprised at the crowd at Turners Crowd - id have though at least the Shed would have been full for this game!
The other County Louth side are ahead by 2-0 @ United Park. ;)
Drogheda have qualified for the play-offs now. Question is whether Cobh can catch us to face them. They gave themselves every chance after tonight. Worst performance of the season from us I think.
Nice, and much needed win for Galway tonight. The Bohs keeper much better than Gary Rodgers. Former player of the year Mark Quigley came on for Bohs with ten minutes to go. The young lad O Halloran was bright early on, but faded. For Galway I had given up on top 5/6 after the Bray game, but if the lads improved a bit more on tonight's performance maybe its possible. There was good atmosphere around the ground from half-time onwards even with the small crowd(didn't here attendance given).

Tight for 2nd.
Is the first division play-off 2nd v 3rd over two legs with winners to play 2nd last in Premier?
We're going down. Cobh, UCD, or Drogheda would all fancy themselves to beat us in the play-off, and I wouldn't bet against them unless we drastically change things.
That's it.
Drogheda seem to have second sewn up? Though if we win all our last four (if...), and Drogheda don't beat Limerick, we'd get it as we play Drogheda on the last day.
But I don't think 2nd/3rd makes a huge difference; Cobh are the ones we're looking out for at the moment.
It seems our decision to go on tour for a year, while a great boost for ourselves, was overall bad for football. :bad:
I liked Wexford when I seen then in the Showgs, they kept battling away even when the game was will beyond them, they are putting a little run of form together and will challenge for third last, I would fancy Harps to stay up even if it takes a play off, the first division is poor this year while the premier it's very competitive even Dundalk despite their dominance lost two on the trot recenty.
So do 2nd play 3rd with 2nd getting home advantage? Or is it over two legs.
We were awful tonight and still won 3-0. Thats eight goals in eight days against Rovers. I don't remember a worse Rovers team.
Home in the second leg Marty. Which is theoretically an advantage.
Sligo - WTF
this is some run of games for Bray - best in years and years from the team!!! 4 nil again against Sligo at home! Wow!
Moved above Bohs and with Wexford, Bohs and Harps next 3 games you may see another 7 or even 9 points gained! Too late for Europe?
To late for Europe but unbelievable run and 7 from 9 in next 3 games is not what we want. We want 9/9. Why not
Nice one Bray.
H is doing a great job there.
Bray have scored 27 goals this season. 8 against us in their two home games. Hate that place.
We were shockingly bad apart from the first half hour of the second half when we were in control but didn't create a huge pile of chances.
Absolutely cracking fourth goal.
Pretty poor game in Wexford on Friday night. A few chances for Wexford, but not much entertainment on offer.
Wexford had definitely improved over the week before, but so frustrating how inconsistent we are. I know we're not losing games, but if we actually trying being a bit more attacking, we could swap some draws for wins.
That's our tenth this season then. We're lucky that we're still third. If Shamrock Rovers got their act together, third spot is there for the taking.
Don't tell Stephen Kenny, Sean Maguire just scored another penalty
Massive three points that. Disappointing beattie getting sent off and out for the Sligo game.
Didn't sound like our best performance, but at this stage it's all about getting points on the board.
Or kenny's crisps??

Absolutely horrendous penalty decision. Tuite blew his whistle before the player even hit the ground. Couldn't give it quickly enough. Much better from Harps tonight though, had we played like that vs Longford, it would have been an altogether different result.
Poor quality footage but you can't make that sort of challenge and expect to get away with it.
Jesus that was the worst definition of a soft penalty I ever saw. Pure shoulder charge and not a crisp bag in sight.
Over to us now tomorrow night v rovers. 3 points needed to keep Cork at bay. Its corks league to lose especially with EL distractions.
I think 75 will win the league. Max dundalk can get is 85 and Cork 81 but I don't think either will win their remaining 9
