Anyone know where Thomastown are from. The people of Thomastown will be dancing in the streets with that draw
Kilkenny.
They play at United Park. Tidy set up for a junior team. http://www.thomastownunited.com/united-park/
Thomastown is only around 25 minutes down the road from me. It was badly hit during the flooding there last week, where Joan Burton quite hilariously fell out of the boat that was travelling on a foot of water.
theres nothing like playing a new team! wonder who will win that Drumcondra Thomastown game?
Delighted to see my local club (They are the nearest football club to where Im from)Thomastown United get this far. Cant seem the beating Drums but would love to see them against Longford. Seem a well run club.
I'm officially jumping on the Thomastown United bandwagon. My Dad's home town. It would be fair to say it's not a traditional soccer heartland, so fair play to them, looks like a great setup.
May I be the first to say I reckon Thomastown are living beyond their means and will probably go bust before the end of the season. How they got through licensing is a mystery to me.
I'm sure the might Thomastown ultras will make their feelings known when they descend on CCS

Sligo and Finn Harps are playing each other as well. Who gives a **** really? You'll learn nothing from any of these games.
According to Sligo they are

Hang on there. Go back and look at the year.
Bloody hell I'm a dope :)
Could have sworn I saw a game announced between two other PD clubs and had it in my head Sligo were one so went looking at their fixtures. Didn't spot the result either!
There was rumours we are going to play Derry alright. Think it was in one of the papers up there.
Some Derry friendlies announced, including that Sligo one. All matches are away.
Ballymena - Friday 5th February
Glentoran - Saturday 13th February
Sligo - Saturday 20th February
With Derry, Sligo, Harps, Galway and Longford all in the top division in 2016 Athlone are the closest away trip for a friendly for the North West 3. It's not surprising they'd be tempted to play friendlies among themselves. Irish League opposition can be hard to line up when they're coming to the end of their season (though I see Derry have Ballymena and Glentoran lined up)
Suppose. The weekend of 5-7th February is the Irish Cup sixth round. Ballinamallard and Warrenpoint would be free, maybe to play Sligo and Dundalk respectively.
Other than that, there won't be much scope for other IL teams, especially with the recent postponements (and the inevitable ones to come).
