That was the day after $hels won the league against us in Tolka, the same night Bohs were beaten in Drogheda......:(Quote:

i'm planning to trip along to this anyway, we'll be without games soon enough, have to get in as many fixes of live footie as possible while we still can.

Eanna, he's a shels fan - if shels need to get points from cup matches i'm sure it can be arranged. :rolleyes:Quote:

They can fight all they like but if I had the choice there's only one of them who stands a chance! :DQuote:

Hopefully there'll be some bit of support there though, maybe some of those who stayed over in Drogheda will make it on their way back down.
COlm
In the absence of the delectable city fans, and in the presence of this chilly wind in Dublin will give the semi-final a miss.
Hope ye win so I can see ye all in Belfield for the final :D
just finished...2-1 city...jamie nolan scored in the first half to give city a 1-0 lead at half time...denis behan then scored from a penalty to win the game..
Thanks for the update if College beat Finn Harps see ye in Belfield in the final :cool:Quote:

It may interest City fans to know that the second semi-final is on at Finn Park today at 3 p.m.
City deserved the win but it was a tough enough game for them.
Baker caused Lally alot of problems in the first half and the Shels goal was also a well-worked move down that side.
Thank God for Behan's peno coz I didn't fancy sitting through extra time with a drive to Cork to follow..
SteveO played well on the left - works hard - but where wil he play, Kearney is well established and he won't get a game ahead of Doyle and Flynny..
Result from Under 21 semi-final today
Finn Harps 0 UCD 3
So City are playing UCD in Belfield for the final folks... Hope ye all turn up for this big final , unlike the Cup game
If the game is on Saturday as has been suggested I would think they could only be a few heads around as most City fans will have travelled to Cork...

good win for the u21's
thought the ref had alot of work to do and bottled a few decisions.
Shels as usual were thugs on the pitch, and prob shud have had 1 if not 2 players sent off. many many shels players booked, and then not booked again by the ref all through the 2nd half when the ref knew they had previously been booked!!!! eg City player kicks the ball away at shels free kick and gets booked, shels player (who had been prev booked) does it in the 2nd half and nothing happens!!!!
Steve O Flynn looked v v good, well up for it, fit ,excellent control and movement, and not only provided an good attacking outlet but also had to do alot of defensive cover for Ray Lally who eas having a tough night with the shels winger who skinned him on a few too many occassions.
City well deserving of victory.
Oh and Colm I checked with Ollie but there was a cig to be had anywhere in Tolka that night..
Good win for city, easier than scoreline looks. Shane Long impressive in attack & city strong in defense.
Thought shels very poor with only winner Robbie Shields making any impression.
