Cork City v Birmingham City Tuesday week (July 8th) at Turners Cross.
Birmingham doing a pre season training camp at Fota Island in Cork, hence the game.
we'll field a second string team most likely.
UCD 3 - 0 Margate
Bray Wanderers have friendly matches against English sides MK Dons (Wednesday 16th July) QPR (Saturday 26th July) and a Manchester United XI (Sunday 20th July)
Tomorrow brings
Cork Vs [a heavily invested in] Birmingham City
As well as
Athlone Vs [what looks the first team squad of] Dundee United
The latter surely promises to be a hockey score, especially given the Limerick game coming up on Friday.
No idea what sort of team we'll have out given we played Sunday evening in Sligo. Flynny and Morrison might get another 45 minutes each as they work towards full fitness, Josh O'Shea will hopefully get another look in and Gav Kav wasn't involved over the weekend so he should start. Other than that, kids and players who haven't gotten much game time I'd imagine.
1-0 already to Birmingham. This will go the same way given the line-ups:

Is it possible to find out substitute information (when and who they came on for) for Athlone in their friendly? Can't see anything online.
Shelbourne v Ipswich today at 3.
With Shels having played last night v Waterford and having reported a good few injuries for that game, the final score today will be interesting
Rovers 1 - 4 Wolves
Northern Irish triallist Kirk Millar scored for us, also a Swiss defender called Maxime Vuille.
Bit late but we drew 0-0 against Dundee Utd. We were the better team for much of the game too.
Glentoran - Derry City. Monday 21st July,. 7.30pm, The Oval.
You'd imagine it'll be our U21 side for this one.
UCD v Bradford tonight.
Bradford have Mark Yeates and no-one else I've ever heard of. Bit of a come down from Alan Smith, Jim Leighton, Darren Ferguson and Shaun Williams last season.
Your thinking of mk dons . Not Bradford . MK dons had those players
That's the point.
(Well, Aberdeen had Leighton and Peterborough had Ferguson.)
We played all those teams last season, so the Bradford squad is a bit mundane in comparison.
After UCDs good friendly results last year, and their 3-0 over Margate 2 weeks ago I'm tempted to take them +1.5 goals tonight. Can anyone talk me in or out of it?!
Bradford are a lot better than Margate.
We're not very good.
We did win any of our friendlies by two or more last season. In fact, I don't remember winning any mid-season friendly by two or more except for Margate.
You can't predict what sort of team Bradford will have out.
Nor what team we'll have out, given we played two days ago.
You'd be mad to bet on that.
thanks for reply but its UCD +1.5 not -1.5.
So a 1 goal loss and bet still wins. UCD +1.5 is well above EVS at the mo which is tempting to me.
Whoops!
These are still very variable games to be betting on. We lost 4-0 to Aberdeen last season mainly because we put out a few triallists. I'd still avoid, especially as we had a game only on Sunday. It's entirely possible we'd put out a second string or an experimental team.
Shows what you know, pineapple stu, 1-0 UCD.
Good call as ever, pineapple stu, 1-1.
Indeed!
We have made the changes I reckoned on at least. And the first of four trialists on the bench has come on. For Ayman, our best player so far.
1-1 now.
Ha! 2-1 up now.
We've made six changes from Sunday. Two of those who've kept their places have two senior starts between them. So I stand by my advice! :)
Subbed off after half an hour, humiliating for the lad. Must not be Bradford quality.
Given he had the Bradford right back in knots, I reckon we took him off before Bradford got the cheque book out
2-2 now
He's a good player alright anytime I've seen him. What do you reckon is his level?
From four or five games? Impossible to say. But he has a physicality I've not seen in a ucd player since Sammon.
3-2! Tayeed Mustafa
Ah is that all he's played? I figured he'd been playing all season. That the Mustapha who used to play for Rovers?
Drogs 1 up over MK Dons.
He's been injured since Limerick. Seventh game I think.
Dunno on Mustafa. Can't be that many though! Winger; really short guy
Can never remember a night when two LOI clubs won friendlies versus English opposition.
Don't think there was a single win versus English opposition last year.
Pineapple Stu despite your best efforts you didn't talk me out of the bet! When I saw UCD had a reasonably strong first team out I went for it.
I didnt think it could get any better after the European heroics last week but it has!
Tomorrow night its
Bray v MK Dons
Bohemians v Wolves
We really didn't have a strong first team though. Corbet in nets was making his debut; never even played any friendlies so far as I know. Ryan and Coyne are reserve defenders; Douglas and Kav are first choice. Sloggett made his debut; Cannon had played one game and Molloy one and a bit. Burke is a reserve generally and Ayman was coming back from injury. Creevy is first choice. Still, will take the result! And glad you won your bet. :)
