If City qualify for CL would people be prepared to pay more to have the game on in Cork to make up the shortfall in gate receipts due to the reduced capacity ?

could yee play in the rugby ground in limerick ??? its not that far away, anyone know the capicity ??
The rugby ground has very few seats, it's mainly terracing.Quote:

I think we could be shooting ourselves in the foot by having this poll!
If the result of the vote is yes it could be an expensive season next year.
or whseb shels win the title :D ;)
who thinks this is the most stupid poll ever...of course we would
even the UEFA cup will mean rdduced capacity......no shed either competition
there was enough people whinging about paying an extra fiver for the intertoto games (and no doubt there'll be cribs about the price increase for games next season as well) so why would people pay more in this instance?
Good point.Quote:

I can't see many complaining about paying anything up to 25/30 quid to see City playing in the CL/UEFA if it meant the only other option was to move the game to Dublin.
I think its already costly enough to go to matches now. And Lennox now has plans to increase the price to 13 next season. Where is all this money going. Is it going straight into the back pockets of the players or is being used to improve the infrastructure of the club?
I heard its dead cheap to run a football club
13 is a cheap price when you look at the 'product' thats on offer.
I would imagine the extra will go to make the club a better run engine, extra money for infrastructure, to pay players wages (or put it in their back pockets, how dare they demand a wage, they should give all the money to City), and to maybe strengthen the squad down the road.
I cant see how you reckon its costly enough. 10 is the cheapest in the Prem division. 10 is barely 2 pints and a bag of peanuts. Of course, if you are a student you obviously have less disposable cash, but maybe there are plans for a student price?
Pint of Heineken @ The Mountain Bar 3.55 , Dry Roasted Peanuts .80
7.90
For an extra couple of euro its well worth it.
Sure your only going to get one home game anyway in Europe so whats a couple more out of your pocket :p

By the way, I'm not a student! :D
If it does include these fixtures, you may be sure it will be reflected in the price, and rightly so IMO. By the way, does anybody know what was the price of a season ticket for the present season?Quote:

I would think Lennox would do the same sort of thing over here.
i think with the price going up to 13, the least they could do is bring in a student price, even if it was 8/10 it would be some improvement. i'll probably get a season ticket alright, better be worth it though!!!!
If the season ticket didnt get you into the capital of culture cup or the setanta it would at least give priority
I assume there will be different 'levels' of season ticket afaik, like this season.
There is the one which just gets you home league games, and no reserved seat.
Same as above but with a reserved seat in the Donie Forde.
All home matches incl u21s, cup and Europe, with reserved seat, and match program.
I think there are other 'levels' as well.
Theres no cheaper ticket in the Premier than going to the cross which has some of the best facilities. I already think the cross is too cheap but when increasing prices city should also show the average punter some improvements to squad or facilities.
btw stupid poll.
That was my point. I mean for the extra 3 will we still get the same crappy expensive food fron the chip vans? Will we still get wet if we go to a match when its raining?
city have nothing to do with the chip vans and you get these at every gathering of people, from point-to-point racing to concerts.Quote:

I'm a bit too passionate about chips i guess.
I always find that minted new potatoes are very tasty AND a lot healthier.Quote:

Interesting point from lennox in the programe the other night about the fixtures not comming out untill Feb, so you don't know what teams you have at home / away twice.
Season tickets would make nice christmas presents and would boost club coffers during the close season.
Well my birthday is in febuary ;)
