He looks amused.

Its Gareth Bale indeed Nidgey. But they are doppelgangers.
We already have a thread on Gareth McEvoy: http://foot.ie/threads/175900-Kenny-McEvoy
whoosh... :)

Hahha good man Crosby.

I know it has been mentioned before, but it is really uncanny.
Mods gonna be having fun with this thread.
Prefect Nigel telling on all the bold boys.
Laws must be upheld at all costs.
Spurs probably stuck him on the bench just to freak Tromso out: "Oh No! How can this be! They've got Bale back! And they're not even playing him!! We are in deep trouble!!!"
Bentaleb, Fredericks and Veljkovic on the bench for Spurs today.
Glass ceiling continues to be an obstacle at big clubs for young Irish players.
He made the bench for a Europa League tie under AVB so he can't be that far away. I'd say it's more a case of Lamela being the winger option on the bench.
Going by his Twitter account, he's back in Ireland for a few days over Christmas
trained with the first team this week: http://instagram.com/p/iuGeXMKxJC/#
no word on a call up to the squad though.
<EDIT>
nope, not in the team today
Hopefully if Tim Sherwood knows him from the youth teams and has been impressed with him, he might get a bit of game time before the end of the season. In reality, with Spurs a few points off the Champions League, it is difficult to see him playing unless there are a few injuries. Still, he seems to be a good prospect.
McEvoy was in the travelling squad for the Hull game at the weekend, and posted a photo of his first Premier League jersey on instagram - http://instagram.com/p/j4yhhmqxOL/#
but unfortunately he didn't make the matchday squad. Still, getting closer to his first appearance
in the Spurs squad again for the game in Ukraine against Dnipro
<EDIT>
starts on the bench
7 on the bench so maybe a 1 in 7 chance of starting if there is a sub, could be up to 3 subs though (not sure of the rules)
love to see him get on the pitch but I doubt it will happen, but you never know.
Stayed on the bench as Spurs were beaten 1-0 in Cyprus. Good to see Sherwood continuing in the tradition of English managers at Spurs not giving a toss about the Europa League.
I still think his inclusion is a fiendish psychological trick Spurs play on European opposition - he's probably told not to take his tracksuit top off during warm-up, he has to fake a Welsh accent for the day and his team-mates call him 'Gareth' when the other team's players are in earshot - perhaps Spurs even fly Emma Rhys-Jones out to the host city and pay her to do some shopping in expensive fashion boutiques on matchday.
Any chance that this lad will get a look in under Pochettino? He wasn't afraid to give youth a chance at Southampton; the climate is a bit different at Spurs though.
He's likely to go out on loan as I said in previous post - that's if Spurs allow him to do so. But it may not necessarily be to an English team. A loan move to the continent could be on the cards. Don't want to say too much for obvious reasons.
on loan to Peterborough until the end of the season: http://www.theposh.com/news/article/...t-1779367.aspx
Crafty can get his scouting cap on for us.
Yeah, why not, gives me more of a reason to meander over & watch them now & again anyway. Kevin Russell has left the back room set up there, he is a guy widely accredited with adding value to the club's bargain purchases on the training ground. So we shall see ..

McEvoy (#20) impresses in his Peterborough debut. He played the first 45 minutes.
Don't have time to watch all that but any moments in particular you can pick out, TOWK?
I would pick out 25:55, 33:18, 34:47, 42:09 and 49:40 as his best moments and 42:09 as his best moment.
Good touch, good ball control, quick passing, good anticipation, good offensive and defensive positioning and consistently great crossing. Every cross was inch perfect and found a teammate. He even won a couple of aerial challenges. He was quiet in the first 13 minutes but once his teammates started passing it to him, they were confident enough to use him as an outlet more; certainly more so than their left-sided player. Seen him described as a bit of a touchline hugger but that's a bit of a disservice; he got a lot of joy when he came inside.
Brighton are a decent side. I'd say if he repeats this performance, he is a nailed on starter for Peterborough's first League game.
looked very competent..he is direct no fancy stuff. gets the ball in the box quickly and accurately. his positioning is good and looked to help the degence when required....positive stuff really
