18 minutes gone!!
Sweden just scored but ruled offside, which is was nut not by much but definitely right decision.
I have 20p on the draw at 11-1 :D
28 minutes gone, the money is as good as in the bank!!!
1-0 Sweden.
Now if the Farces get one back I'm in the money!!!
half time still only 1-0 the Faroes still hanging in there by the skin of a herring.
A late equaliser is possible.
Bad decision for Faroes. man made run and was clear away and wrongly flagged offside.
Sweden down to 10 men!!!!!!!!!!
Penalty Sweden.
2-0.................
They were always going to win.
I take it Granqvist is suspended for irish game..is he an important player for the swedes?
Seems to be a regular starter,, just looked at his stats rating it was 76 or 78 Dunne is 76 O Shea 78.
He would start for us I suspect were he Irish. He is their joint top rated defender so I'd say it would be
a bit of a loss to be without him but they no doubt have fairly competent replacement (as we do ;) )
Tried to update title in menu but it remains 0-0
You're some troll, TC! ;)
Tricky has posted updates about this match on two other threads as well as this misleading thread.
I fear yet another thread jitter phase from Tricky is just about to break out.
The lid is about explode any day soon.
You can get 11-1 on Ireland beating Spain
Anyone know how strong the Spanish team is?
Actually I found the line up and it look good.
Casillas
Azpilicueta • Piqué • Ramos • Alba
Iniesta • Martínez • Xavi
Mata • Torres • Navas
Don't know much about the Spanish team but that looks pretty scary, especially when compared to out lineup!
Lock!!!!
Flanker, surely...
Updated thread title to avoid any disappointment :)
Don't forget the
Ibra should have been booked for petulance. Damn.
The reason for his act of petulance was that the goalie (correctly) called him an effin diving cheat.
Let's hope that Ibra shows up in Dublin?
What the one that dives and win penalties?
That has to resort to cheating...
Just hope lightening doesn't strike twice?
Seamus Coleman might push him in the box, and then David Forde saves the resulting penalty but the rebound hits ibras left leg and dribbles through Fordes legs.
No, Paul McShane. Or Whelan when they gracelessly collide...
It has to be said, under Trap we have an excellent record re penalties in competitive games.
We have won 5 and conceded none.
Bit like Gary Player who famously said "the harder I practise the luckier I get", although he himself attributes that phrase to fellow golfer Jerry Barber.
Some players have a knack of knowing when they will be able to get away with a foul, Diego Maradonna springs to mind!!!
I expect the natural clumsy players tend to have more penalties awarded against them, I would say if a referee knows a particular player is pretty crap he is more likely to award a penalty against him and that a player who has has a reputation for making good tackles is more likely to get away with a foul.
