Pretty underwhelming choice of opponent, though I suppose there mustn't be too many teams free for the date.
on the June bank holiday weekend, only a few days after the England game
attendance could be low
They'd probably sell more tickets if they got Georgia Salpa to run around for 90mins...
I can't wait...
and, in a further reduction to the potential attendance, the Forbidden Fruit festival is on the same weekend: http://forbiddenfruit.ie/
well i hope anyone who goes to see those bands hopefully doesnt go to watch football.
I've only heard of two of them
Primal Scream, from the early 80s? Good God. :music:
How would a band who had that few good songs stay around for 30 yrs.
Primal Scream are to Stone Roses what Happy Mondays are to New Order.
What did Nigel say this time Crosby?
I was saying hopefully the attendances wont be effected Nigel, what did you think I was saying? ; )
So Robbie Keane and the Galaxy boys grind to primal scream?
Lets just be happy Bieber flamed out in London so he can come back to Stu in good old Canada where he belongs. Nigel Harps called Bieber "A poor mans Marky Mark."
Was that after he saw him with his shirt off, crosby?
Nothing to do with Mani, but the new order kept the happy mondays going. That's what I meant, the fame was used to keep primal scream going and touring. Having said that the keyboard player(summer) did play in both and helped in recording some of their stuff, I think he might have produced some stuff as well. Incidentally a friend from home is/was related through marriage to Mani.
That first day looks pretty excellent. Love Kasabian. Whatever happened to FLApes? They never really kicked on, did they?
Bieber forever!
Their second album was terrible and a couple of the band members left. I think they play the odd gig in Dublin still.
I noticed the other day that in Pulp Fiction, in the scene with Eric Stoltz and Uma is ODing, Rosy Arquette and John Travolta are aguing, you all know the scene, and there is that chick with the black hair who doesnt really say anything? She has a "Frames" Tee Shirt on. I mean thats like 1995 i guess so that is pretty cool. Quentin represents. Jes Sayin'.
That's Bronagh Gallagher, she was in The Commitments
really? oh yeah....good call tets.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnd they're back.

I hate the FLapes. My life has had quite the intertwinement with a member of the band.
I remember them supporting Yeah Yeah Yeahs in Belfast in 2009.
In fairness to them though the title of their second album was pretty amazing. Almost TOO good.
I see Lee Perry is in the line up for saturday, he must be nearing 80.
