Should have a thread so we can keep Tabbs on him.
I'm sure there was one before?
There was definitely a long long thread on him a few years back. I've never been that impressed with him myself.
Definitely seen him mention quite a bit at one time but can't be certain he had a thread.
He is actually 28 now so he is getting on a bit.
As he hasn't particularly impressed it can only be a matter of time before Trap calls him up!! :p
Keeping a fairly low profile seem to be key!
Reading fan here. I'm fond of Tabb (you won't find a single Reading supporter who isn't) but I wouldn't have him in the Ireland squad. Can't fault the lad for commitment but he's not even Premier League quality. He's a typical Trap player - astonishing work-rate, wins loads of tackles and headers for such a small guy, hassles the opposition well but creatively he offers very little. That said, he's no worse than Whelan or Andrews on a bad day!
Thought Tabb did well today (again).
should of had a penalty today
Should have had a penalty.
I wandered who would be the first to spot that.
Did you think it would be me? (Trying desperately to ignore your misspelling of wondered...)
Which is more annoying? Grammar fascism or eligibility discussion? :D
I hate when people use should of...
got a nice assist for Reading's goal against Arsenal. stole the ball after a slack pass from Gibbs, threaded the ball through the two centre halves for le Fondre to round the keeper and finish
I was going to watch some of that game but when I checked the score Arsenal were 3-0 up so
I thought the better of it. Finished 5-2 so they at least drew the 2nd half.
Still bottom of the league and must be strong favourites to go down.
Indeed the odds are from 6-1 on to 10-1 on.
QPR are only about 4/6 now from looking dead certs to go down a few weeks ago.
Supposedly he always picks up the bar bill.
Tabb is someone who is usually over looked for discussion here, so went to look
him up on my stat site but I could not find him.
Turns out he is listed as an English player!!! He has an England flag beside him
so I never see him because I am looking for the Irish flag.
Anyhow it turns out he is at no 169, ahead of O Shea 176 and just behind McClean 167.
McCarthy and Coleman are in the 140's to give you and idea of his position.

Be sure to select the 2013 season as it defaults to 2012.
Why is Tabb ranked ahead of JOsH in that list?
Well there must be some sort of weighting system although I have no idea what it is.
Well.. I have some idea, I am pretty sure goals and assist are weighted more highly than wining an aerial dual.
Man of the match carries a high weighting it seems however hardly surprising because that goes to goal scorers
and assist makers and high passing percentages.
No system is perfect, there are bound to be anomalies, for example Man City only have one player in the top 20
(man u have 3). But then they have 4 in the next 20 and Man u only 2. So it does seem to work fairly well.
If I had a month to spare I would feed all the data into a computer program and try and work out the weightings!!!
He's been told to find a new club. He's played quite a bit for Reading this season. Surely he'll get on with a Championship club at the very least.
Blackburn are supposedly interested in Tabb accorodng to one of the rags today. No link available yet. Would be a good move for him.
Just put Ipswich 1-0 up away at his old club.
Ipswich lost 2-1 in the end, notable that Alex Pearce started for Reading, Kelly on the bench, no sign of Noel Hunt (is he leaving?) ha ha just checked he started for Leeds today, I reported to google their info is correct!!

Quote:
“Cameron Stewart’s been up at Doncaster and he’ll be moving on in the summer, other than that Tabby will be freed,” McCarthy confirmed.
“He’s been fabulous, he’s one who without playing a game all season could have won the ‘most selfless player award’ because he comes and trains every day, when he’s played in the cup games he’s played well, he trains well, he’s a prime example to any young player. He really is a fantastic character and hopefully I’ll see him tomorrow.”
