Hope that means he's staying! ;)
Great moment for the club and the city.

Congrats lads. Been a long time coming for ye. Enjoy the party tomorrow night. You never know there's still a chance we may join ye up there!
According to Andrew Cuneen on Twitter, someone has put a Limerick hat and scarf on the O'Connell statue in town. Would love to see a pic of that if anyone manages to get one.

That's fantastic.
Congratulations and well done to everyone involved with the club. And to all who contributed, in any way.
What a superb feeling, what a great night. Still sinking in ....
Brilliant.
Unbelievable to wake up and find out it wasn't a dream. Feels like we should be dancing in the streets like the end of Fever Pitch. Magic.
After all the trials and tribulations over the years we've finally done it. I'm an old boy from the Markets Field days and last night's result was so emotional for me. Back in the big time again!! There's so many of us that have stuck with this team through thick & thin and this weekend is about us. Really puts last weeks goal against Athlone into perspective.
Sorry i can't travel tonight as i think its going to be one hell of a party.Alll those going enjoy yourselves and take care of one another. Dont let anyone spoil the fun or ruin a good night.
Well done to Pat Scully,he's takin some stick from most of us here but he's got the job done.Well done to all the players, coaches, officials and volunteers. Especially a big thanks to Pat O'Sullivan for having the belief and courage to rescue us in our hour of need.
See ye all next week in Jackman Park and we'll have a massive send off to the Frist Division and a bigger welcome to the Premier League.
Congratulations Limerick!
Just waiting for the FAI to reveal they have a prior agreement that a Limerick FC game can't be played on the same day as a Premier Division game, even if it is one
Congratulations lads...well deserved...hopefully we'll be joining ye after the next few weeks and apologies in advance for the thumping we're going to give ye tonight...
Was there the day we went down. Would've wept bitterly if told then it'd take this long to get back. Fantastic news for the club and all of Limerick. Paint the town blue!
Congrats Limerick theres no doubt ye deserved this. Ye didnt lose a single game to a club outside of Longford and Waterford while ye kept something like 15+ clean sheets and conceeded less than 20 goals. That is a simply astonishing defensive record and I wish ye the very best next season hopefully we can join you.
In all my years supporting soccer i have seen Limerick win a league cup and that is all ive seen any of my teams ever win the feeling lastnight and waking up today is amazing..... I cant even put into words how happy i am its just a wow feeling and i cant wait to get to Longford and celebrate this with the team and all the other Limerick fans. To anyone that cant be there tonight and that are away in other countries i hope ye all enjoy your celebrations lads ye wont have to take our word for the goals next year ye cab watch it on MNS.
Well done Limerick. For a while this season I dared to dream we would have won it! Wish ye all the best next season.

Well done to limerick, we love you sully we do we love you scully we do we love you scully we do ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo scully we love you, he deserves a new contract.
Under normal circumstances I'd consider myself ultracritical for saying this, but: no. Not a hope in Hell does he deserve a new contract, league title or no league title.
That said, 'Scully out!' will probably fall on deaf ears as we head into the Prem and (hopefully) the Market's Field so I'll be content just to ignore that he's still here.
Pretty sure he has a year left in his contract. It's up to him now to earn another one next season for the 2014 season or move on.
Was it Peter Collins or one of them on MNS last night who said they expected Limerick to be in the top 4 next season?
I see that kind of thinking pop up here and there from some people, I can't put my head around it.
Yeah, he was just fairly certain the Markets Field wouldn't be ready.
Our work on the statue made it into the Irish Examiner its says:
Even Daniel O’Connell was celebrating on Friday night when a Mervue United winner sent Limerick FC back to the Premier Division for the first time since 1994.
The O’Connell monument at the Crescent in Limerick City centre bore a scarf and a cape celebrating the Super Blues triumph on Friday night, and it was still keeping the famous nationalist warm against the October rain and wind on Sunday evening, as the victory was still only setting in.
Why do some people keep saying stuff like that? What possibly makes people think that, after struggling through the worst First Division in years, maybe ever, we're going to be challenging for a Europa League spot within a year? Baby steps.
As it stands we should be looking to match the UCDs, Brays and Dundalks/Waterfords/Longfords of this world. If we added extremely well we might look at approaching the level that Bohs/Shels/Cork and Derry were at this year though I'd expect Cork in particular to push on a bit next season. This talk of a top four finish is far too ambitious for it's own good, as has been said above let's just aim to stay up and build from there.
If we have a similar season to Shels next year then we can say it was a very good first season back in the premier. I don't see why we couldn't be aiming for in around there with a few additions.
