If Barry Glendenning said it in the podcast then I suspect it was an attempt at humour to explain Shay's recent mistakes. With his Offaly accent it is often difficult to distinguish serious comment from sarcasm. He can be quite entertaining though.
No no, there's more to this story. Barry made a comment that was edited out of the podcast due to legal reasons and then he went on twitter to explain. There's a big thread about it on the football weekly facebook page.
Looking at his tweets he said he was unhappy that his "theory" on Given was edited out of the podcast. If it is a theory then there is no story - it's just something Barry has thought up. he has never been a big fan of Given anyway. This sounds like nothing to me.Quote:
