"And we have a lot to get through tonight folks". Me arse.
Yeh, i thought that was a strange choice. Also James Mc Clean was on the show but I couldnt understand a word he was saying. They should have had subtitles. The highlights of the Europa League match were too brief -and in the match between Galway United and Shamrock Rovers- Stephen Alkin was getting mixed up between Karl Sheppard and Gary o'neill. And why didnt they ask Stephen Kenny about the argument he had with Pat Fenlon at the end of their match.
mns@rte.ie for any feedback lads, some good points made there .... haven't seen it myself yet.
Eoin Hand is a geriatric moron.
Definitely the worst episode. U-20 match, who cares? McLean without subtitles and that Robbie Keane piece was cat, although the bit at the very end was good, showing Keane up to be the idiot that he is with his always wanted to play for 'insert team here' crap.
Keane could probably be persuaded to kill the Prime Minister of Malaysia.
They were showing a Brazil v Portugal under-20 match? In what context?
I like MNS, but it was a strange episode. Showing the Under 20s match was distinctly odd. The picture quality had me thinking they'd downloaded it from the internet. The completely un-understandable James McLean could be a You Tube classic.
Think they showed the Euro u19 final goals too recently, or something similar (struck me as odd before anyway...)
The Keane goal was absolutely taken from the internet. Looked awful
In fairness to MNS though, its not their fault McLean can't speak English
Email sent to them. Simply outlining that all we ask for is a simple League of Ireland highlights show. No need for rubbish that has no relevance to the league ala the u-20 match and Robbie Keane. Getting fast fed up with the garbage they put out on a Monday night. People wonder why nobody goes to matches? MNS sure isn't helping. Almost....just almost wish for tv3 to get back in the frame. Paul Osam come back all is forgiven.
Be Careful what you wish for Nigel, it might come true. That show was dreadful , no enthusiasm from the presenters.
James McClean for MNS presenter!
Yeh, but it was on at 11.30 and only for a half an hour.
EDIT: Post removed on request.
That's such a cop out. It's funny how the video quality for the entire replay on ESPN last Sunday was just fine.
It's not the 90s anymore, NTSC doesn't hold the same issues as it used to. Useless so they are.
Actually, now that I think of it, it definitely was the Womens World Cup final they showed earlier in the summer (not the u19s as I posted earlier).
If they had of had a decent phone connection when talking to James McClean we would have been able to hear what he was saying. They analysed Bohs disallowed goal to the death, yet didn't feel it worth mentioning that Derry should have got a slam dunk penalty, nor the fact that a Bohs player hit a Derry player across the face. And when are they going to get Fenlon to act like a proper manager has his behavior is an embarrassment to the league and his club. Again they didn't want to talk about that either.
Bohs goal was the big talking point (as it was perfectly legitimate) and they talked about it. Whats the problem there?
Totally agree. I like MNS (even though my club has only been on about 3 times in 4 years), but that was a terrible week - I missed the start of it so hardly saw any LoI highlights. The last half hour was nonsense. I only stayed tuned because I thought they'd preview the cup games.
Also, strong Derry accent + bad phone line = completely unintelligible
One of the lads got a reply stating that Mns does not concentrate on league if Ireland . I was of the impression it was meant to be a loi programme ??
Can someone please correct the title of this thread, it hurts my eyes.
It is the WORST title of a thread ever !
