Some speculation that the game might be here in Linz which will have at that time a renovated stadium with 15,000 seats. There hasnt been an international game in Linz in years. Was published in a tabloid paper so I wont hold my breath. You can see the article at www.facebook.com/chelseapub
Any word when the tickets for the Irish fans will go on sale for this match because I heard from lads I know in Vienna that the tickets for the home fans are already on sale there?
They have been for 2 months?
Been told everyone who applies through the FAI (2k.max.expected) will get one...
Don't know about when actually they go on sale, but you can apply by e-mail...
Surely this game will be in Vienna?
Been confirmed for Vienna.

Excellent I've got my flight booked for Vienna on the day of the game
Just as well...
Well, maybe.
Game is sold out now. Mentioned in the Indo this morning.
For Austrian fans...
Yeah I should have said, Austrian end tickets..
I'm still waiting on a response from the FAI. Busy firefighting the UEFA revelations?
I'm still waiting too. Looks like we might do a bit of a european trip for these 2 games in september.
I'm guessing ST holders will be guaranteed a ticket?
This means nothing to me.
Stick to Deutschland...
Applications are now open for the Austria game at http://away.fai.ie/
We've a choice too.
3rd tier in Section A or F is €27.50.
2nd tier in Section B is €52.50.
(presumably, the FAI have added €2.50 to the Austrian ticket prices there)
I've went for Section A. Probably better if people get Section A before Section F, as we'll be closer to those in Section B.
Map of the stadium will make it clearer:

Couldn't believe the Aer Lingus flight on the day of the game was still not full a few days ago and seats only €84.00 excluding the various other add ons.
Probably difficult for some to get away for a Tuesday night game and with the Germany match a month later on a weekend, it's probably the more attractive fixture.
Aye, my best source tells me that everyone who applies for Vienna should get in, whereas Germany is liable to be massively(?) over-subscribed as being played in a smaller stadium in a city within 100km of an estimated 100k Irish in various countries.
That said, a lot of tickets on sale on German 'resale' sites for €50+, average seems about €70. Which is incidentally the cheapest price quoted to casual local fans, twice what Irish fans are being charged...
Any idea where the Irish fans are going to meet up on the Monday and Tuesday?
