Quick question lads,if a player from TSDL leaves to join another league does he have to be released by TSDL even though he's technically not a registered player for the coming season,?

Ten-man Ankara held on for a point against Leinster & Munster in their UEFA Regions' Cup Group B opener despite playing the final 21 minutes with ten men.
Half-time substitute Emrah Koçak was dismissed for tripping David Lacey when the striker was clean through as the Irish representatives looked to make the breakthrough, having been frustrated by Ankara keeper Mustafa Köseci on several occasions. Both sides will hope to build on their point on Thursday, when Leinster & Munster meet Belgrade and Ankara face South Region Russia.
Eight members of the Leinster & Munster starting XI were in the Region I team which represented the Republic of Ireland two years ago in their finals opener, and it was one of them, Lacey, who lifted the first chance over the bar.
Ankara's Fatih Deniz scored five in six games in qualifying but he showed there is more than just goals in his armoury by crossing dangerously from the left on three occasions, the second of which was fired wide by Ismail Köse.
With both sides pushing forward at will, the first half made for an open affair, yet it was Gerry Smith's Leinster & Munster who were the team fashioning all the openings. Köseci was pressed into service three times before the break, his most eye-catching act being to tip over Ray Whelehan's effort after Lacey headed David O'Sullivan's delivery back across goal.
Despite the mercury nudging 25C the tempo remained high after the break, when Köseci again showcased his talents by clawing out Lacey's close-range header on the hour. Ankara were reduced to ten when Koçak saw red, yet despite constant Leinster & Munster pressure thereafter, Hameş Şentürk's men might have won it when the lively Deniz rifled over.
what was the team for that Pearoso?
Republic of Ireland: A. Walsh, C. Dillon, J. Walsh, R. Carrig, K. Hoey, R. Whelehan, D. Loughran, C. Barber, L. Dunne, D. Lacey, D.O' Sullivan.
Substitutions: A.Foley for D. O' Sullivan (70 mins), B. Kavanagh for D.Loughran (78 mins), G. Keddy for C. Barbour (90 mins).
why isnt breen getting a run?
im sure paul will get a run in next game. the manager probably went with chalkies experince as captain for opening game , at least 2 games left in competion im sure breeno will start at least one of them.
my view on barnes and smurf joining peake would be too good signings to start the new regime. get foggy, derek, barry ryan, ted o connor back plus a new keeper and they will be back up there challenging with saints and town.
not even rumour really just they are ex peake players and have played under peakes new manager previously so just speculating they would be players peake manager would be interested in resigning
Where are you coming up with the barnes and smurf joining peake, shur that will hardly happen will it or are they interested?
I dont think any of foggy, derek, barry or ted will join peake, but thats just my oppinion. Foggy the most likely.
But as you say, if peake did get them players, twould be a serious team. Just a keeper and they would be favourites for the league.
Amazing how a managers appointment can turn a clubs talk around, i was sayin they were in trouble this year but now with burns in charge, they will def be good next year. With or without the above mentioned players.
The player or his new Club should inform the TSDL that he is moving leagues. If there are outstanding player fines which his old club do not want to pay or disciplinary issues the TSDL can stop him playing for his new club untill they are sorted out.. Also on the registration form the player has to put down his last League and Club, the new league's registrar will if he is doing his job contact the TSDL to make sure all is OK
Still a bit early for new signings. If all the ex Peake players with Town added to Barnes and Burns, it will make Peake very strong. how many actually players from Clonmel will be left at the club? Big test for Jamie O'Flaherty to see how he will cope.
Speaking of Town,I also heard that Muiris Walsh has returned to football but this time with Cahir Park schoolboys. He is going there as PRO. He will be a big asset to them. Good to see him back with football. As a Cahir Park supporter, good to see somebody like him at the club. Can only be a good thing.
Good answer. There is no obligation for anybody to do anything. However if, at the start of a new season, a player moves from one league jurisdiction to another it is advisable for his new club to check with his old league to verify is there any fine or suspension applying to the player. Sometimes players move from one league to another and either (a) think a fine or suspension doesn't follow them or (b) the player does not tell his new club about a fine or suspension. The onus for paying a fine rests with his old club but the new club may pay it - the league don't care who pays the fine - but it must be paid, otherwise the player stands suspended. The facility on the registration form for his last league or club only applies to a transfer during the season.
any other rumours from the clonmel teams? Heard kerr from wilderness might be joining cahir from wilderness as hes living out that way these days.hed be a good signing for them,i fear for 2nd season syndrom for the wildies and think theyll go back down anyway.any word on shanahan of clonmel celtic?
young scully who a terrific player but is an absolute boozehound will prob leave celtic too as he didnt bother turning up for the tipp cup final ,he played cb nearly all season long.
Darren Burns,Ian Barnes will be great additions to Cahir Park, sounds like there is a complete transformation there, heard they plan on adding up to 7 new players
Are we sure cahir will be in premier ? Make you wonder why all these town players on move to cahir , peake and fairview if rumours are to believed about Ritchie ryan is there something going on behind scene that town have or goin to lose players any thoughts guys
chalkie and chris higgins played for irish ameteur side in portugal today 1-0 win great result.
byrnes approached noel kent about move to Peake.
A 52nd-minute strike from Ray Whelehan further complicated matters in Group B, but both Leinster & Munster and Belgrade still have a chance of reaching next Tuesday's UEFA Regions' Cup final.
Leinster & Munster successfully stifled the threat of busy Belgrade midfielder Jovan Blagojević, and Jovica Milikić's team rarely had space to open up their canny opponents. Brendan O'Connell was at full stretch to push Stefan Dabetić's free-kick wide in the first half, and Stefan Stefanović was also on target from distance, but the Irish side crafted chances too, David Lacey heading the best of them at Uroš Milijković.
Dabetić nodded not too far wide with the interval looming, and Laurence Dunne fired just past the same upright after the break, following a neat headed pass from captain James Walsh. Leinster & Munster went ahead shortly afterwards, Whelehan racing on to Dunne's ball and skidding a low shot past the exposed Milijković. Ross Carrig then came close to scoring a second moments later, glancing a header narrowly off target.
Daniel Loughran fired straight at Milijković when well placed as Gerry Smith's men once more found space in the Belgrade box, with the Serbian side unable to find much room at the other end despite the frequent deployment of Goran Panić's throws. Whelehan brought Irish fans to their feet again with a spectacular strike which was palmed wide, while Walsh hit the top of the crossbar with a header from the resulting corner.
Dabetić forced O'Connell to make a low save late on, but the result never seemed in doubt. Leinster & Munster take on eliminated South Region Russia in their final game on Sunday, with Ankara up next for Belgrade.
I know its the silly season and you will hear all sorts of stories but i heard that from a player in Cashel who had been approached and was told Barnes and Smurf Burns were on board and that Tommy Fitzgerald,Alan Coady from Carrick and Evan Mcguire and Barry Ryan from Town were also approached
thought coady was in oz, thomas fitzgerald is a free agent didnt play with carrick last season i dont think, there could be a bit of truth in that. cant see barry ryan or evan mcguire signing for cahir though. looking like its gonna be hectic summer, sky sports could be following tsdl transfer news this season looks like rumour mill is in overdrive already :)
Yes sky sports maybe needed from my point of view the best players will stay at the best clubs ie town Celtic and saints I think no matter who is brought into peske it will be a year of steading the ship as I think the peake villa are very split over the manager appt . Does anyone know if cahir are staying in premier
any of the st micheals lads tell us whats happen with the lk lads coming in
Take it from me tipp top that the rumours about smurf and barnes going to cahir are way off the mark and the only player town will be losing from last season is stephen ryan and maybe niall kelly plus they are streghtening their squad so should be better next season
Yes, I'd be very surprised if Smurf and Barnes went to Cahir. I don't think anybody is in any doubt they are leaving town. it will be interesting to see where they end up. As for Saints, I doubt if they are talking to anyone from Limerick, and what about Celtic, who will be their new manager ?
Be interesting to see the tug of war with Villa and Borris for players over the summer, with Noel Byrnes and Willie Mulcaire competing against one another, been involved with numerous Villa teams over the years!
Hi all, i just joined this Friday and thought i mite get involved in the transfer rumours that id been hearing recently. Heres 2 to start off with, heard mick ryan and alan leahy are Borris FC bound....also heard that none of the 3 ex Peake players want to return to peake even with n byrne as new manager. Prob old news but i said id post anyway.
Thanks for the welcome mega tots, oh right, as i said its only rumours im hearing around. Are peakes top players all staying so? Any truth in padraig fogarty been approached by clonmel town? Heard that last night. Im sure peake would love to have him back as i hear hes planning to stay local with thurles town...excellent player.
Grt news from Portugal Irish amateurs through to the euro final after winning 2/1 against Russia a grt day for tsdl league to have the capt and two other players involved well done to all
Tanx Mega Tots, so willl peake keep all their top players then do ya think? Any truth in padraig fogarty been approached by clonmel town, i heard that last night? Excellent player, but i believe hes staying local with thurles town, surely if hes staying local peake would want to get him back on board, crazy if they dont.
The Irish Amateur International team qualified for the final of the European Nations Amateur Cup as they came from behind to beat Russia 2-1 to-day. This is a magnificent achievement by the irish team which included the three St.Michaels players, Chalky Walsh, who captains the team, Chris Higgins and Paul Breen. They now play Portugal in the final on Tuesday. More details later.
sorry for the double posts lads, trying to get used to this thing. well getitout, the only rumour about ryan was to borris as was leahy as i said earlier, didnt know of any other clubs??? and more importantly congrats to the 3 tsdl players involved with the irish amateurs, great result, lets hope they win the final now.
