The new season is almost upon us so I said I would do the honours
Good man Olachico....a new broom sweeps clean and all that.
The hard work begins now.
Team of the Year: Killumney (Winners of League 1 and County Cup)
Referee of the Year: Finbarr Murphy
Golden Boot Winner: Derek McCarthy (Kinsale)
Manager of the Year: Eoin Fehilly (Killumney)
From the Cork AUL Blog...
ya Innish couldnt argue with the awards there what you think?? time for the rumour mill to start lads heard last years St Marys manager Stokes is taking on a premier team this year couldnt squeeze out of my source what team it was, any one hear anything??? i have my suspicions
As was always going to be a natural progression with the new pitches and a thriving underage section Innishvilla are planning on entering a 2nd team in the AUL this season - anyone who is interested in joining please keep an eye on the Innishvilla website www.innishvilla.com or here on foot.ie...
I believe Mr Stokes was to get involved with Grattan youths at one stage?
back to business thursday night cant wait...to the ballyvolane lads on this are ye coming down again for the tournament at the end of the month?
Hi lads been reading this a while, said i ld throw my two pence in for whats its worth. I ve been playing myself for over 10 years and have always had an interest in the aul and its teams since i started playing. :cute: I can confirm that Mr. Stokes will be taking the reins at a premier league club next season, it might surprise a few that he's not heading for the Northside!!;)
Your suspicions are well founded olachico. Probably should nt come as a surprise as the job was advertised. Do nt know a huge amount the man myself, just that he seems to have strengthened St Marys foothold since they went up Premier in MSL a few seasons back. A progressive step i hope for my club, we put a big effort in last season with little reward through no fault of the management or the players we had ( we ve a small core to pick from), we could do with new bodies (and a few who may return) in the camp, hopefully he has a few players in mind.
welcome inswinger, not been smart or anything olachico but how could coachford count as the northside???
Heard Hogan from Blarney is joining ye,still a fine player.
Not too sure if he is southsider and i know him quite well, being from Coachford and where he played all his football with Coachford before joining Blarney he would be welcomed back with open arms, he does have a brother currently on the team also. He would be an addition to any team.
Holden, as a Norrie myself........I know its the centre of the universe so anyone should be honoured to be associated with it!!!!
I would have thought Micky Walsh would have gotten the Coachford job once he left Avondale.
Good manager & nice guy is Malcolm - I wish him well.
I think stokes will do well out there to be honest but id say hed need to get a few player in which will be tough going!
Having said that he have a few lined up to say he took the job maybe?
Horse id say Mick Walsh would have the job before anyone if he wanted it. He had a good run when he was in charge and won a few trophys. After a big job at Avondale probably a time out is what hes taking.
Malcolm Stokes to Coachford and Philpott- ex keeper with Rockmount-to Village utd.
is that gary philpott
Hello lads,
Hope ye all had a good summer and enjoyed the world cup. Seems like we were never away. Springfield back training on Tuesday night. I don't have any further insight to whether we have managed to rob any players but i will let ye know after Tuesday. Looking forward to getting back into it.
Ya that is Gary Philpott, his dad is involved with village so a good signing for them, very good keeper Gary is

well lads a mate of mine is moving to cork city and is looking for a club down there,he played at the top level here in limerick for the past 5 years,he is looking for an aul prem side or maybe msl.he is 25 and well worth a look at believe me..he has spoken to a friend of his who recommended leeside.if anyone has any ideas would they please pm me and i will pass on the information.he played 1 season league of ireland.
Alright lads welcome back to all. Cant wait for the new season to start!!
Vanpersie, tried private messaging you but unable to, dont think your a member long enough or something. Leeside preseason starts tonight. I cant put mobile mumbers on the forum so To contact managment best bet is to refer to aul handbook at http://docs.google.com/View?id=ddtdjkcd_483dndsxxfw
Sounds like Wilton might be suffering - the AUL keeper gone to Mayfield Seniors is another rumour.
Wait until our friend from Limerick reads one or two of boos posts from the middle of the night................he might run back up the road!!!!
This is the most common week for teams to go back - so best of luck to everyone. Hope we all have an enjoyable season and that Blackstone win everything!!!
Anyone know the min & max your pitch dimensions are supposed to be??
