Does anybody know what time it's on at?
11am Irish Time
Im guessing someone will be showing it live, eurosport, skysports etc??
Anyone else planning on having a few tabs open in a browser, each with flights ready to go for each of the four possible destinations? Does anyone know if ryanair/aer lingus will have jacked up the prices to all 4 before the draw is made?
france portugal easy to get to but greece russia trickier. the reverse is prob true of tickets for the away games
Ryanir dont fly to 3 of the 4
Aer Lingus only fly to 2 of the 4
Aer Lingus will have the prices jacked up prior to the draw
Ryanair wont be bothered but will sell out quickly
France is easy to get through with a huge choice of connections through the UK and the Eurostar
AerBaltic / BMI / KLM and Possibly Lufthansa all do Moscow for around 350
Lisbon and Greece are a bit harder to get to in terms of low fares airlines
Any tips on how or where to get tickets for the away playoff?
So will it just be a case of contacting the FAI?
Edit: In fact, I just check their website. Says you must email them with your interest, and that preference is given to block bookers. I'm a block booker, so I'm wondering does anybody know the limitation on how many tickets I can ask for?
Probably up to 3000, if you guarantee to take the rest of the Monty tickets off their hands....
em..... I wouldn't book flights to Lisbon too sharp cos the game could easily be in Porto. Very easily.
Unless it's France on the saturday, I'd be surprised if there were more than 3000 at any of the matches.
Russia won't attract many more than 1000.
Greece I'd predict between 1500 and 2000, depending on the day.
And you could get 3000 in Portugal on the saturday I reckon, laround 2000 on the Wednesday.
No matter where, there should be no problem with tickets.
Be nice if Michael O Leary put his money where his mouth is in saying YES to Europe in giving fans cheap flights to the play offs should it be Portugal or France and getting as many over as possible.
It may be well worth his while in the long run if we do qualify.
Except the only place Ryanair fly to from Dublin is Paris (Beauvais) which is about 60 miles from Paris. They don't fly to Greece or Russia at all and the only Portuguese destination they go to from Ireland is Faro in the Algarve, miles from Lisbon and even further from Porto.
That said, they do fly from Stansted to Porto, so if the game is there, it may be worth looking into booking two flights.
1pm our time. SSN said they're taking it, although it'll probably be a pundit in the studio.Quote:

Will be definitely hoping to travel, has anybody on here got a good break down of flight routes/prices for both midweek and weekend game, i dont mind using connection flights ... im just not too handy on using the internet ,
thanks
There's little point in speculating, given all the combinations, it's not a normal qualifier that you can prepare for, months before it becomes available.
Should we draw Russia, there's even less point.
If we draw France I doubt the French FA will mess up like last time and put the tickets on general sale
Might have been mentioned already but anyway its live on eurosport
Does anyone know when countries have to announce the location for the home game?
It makes booking difficult for Portugal and Greece as they've played in a few different stadia in the campaign.
Ryanair had a major sale/offer 3 days ago you could of got flights for 1 cent either way i booked to paris around the 14th and 18th just incase if i dont travel it will set me back 4 cents.
It'll probably be the capital city in all countries. The big games usually are.Quote:

Those flight prices will jack up within 5 minutes of the draw been completed.
They've already done it on those routes. That's before you add on the bags.
Come tonight, they'll be €200 each way, for "seat protection" reasons.
