Just about to kick off lads!
Jesus that Sofia jersey is shocking!
That miss just sums Jamie Duffy up! SOme Rovers crowd at Utd Park!
Brilliant Raiders this week.
How many brown jackets does that knob Murphy have? His smugness makes my flesh crawl, particularly as he's Alkin's pupet.
Wonder what they are going to do for the last half hour seen as though there is only one more game to show after the Bohs game!
Aw get that cu!t off the tv!
Decent interview with Fenlon, nice change from the usual format.
On one point though; all managers were sent a comprehensive questionaire on their views on the League from the FAI. Obviously he forgot all about it.
Has the Derry CSKA game already been on?
A long and interesting discussion about how irrelevant the national team is to Irish football segueing without irony into a load of crap about Oireland.
It was planned to waste some time so they wouldnt have to show any first division highlights!I think if a club was to send in highlights of their game they will show it, well the Eircom League weekly show on TV3 always shoed Dublin City home games and any games we sent htme in from the first division!
'Cretaro got around Conor O'Grady brilliantly'
Yes, he got around his own player:confused:
btw, how can McGrath be offside when the ball came to him from the Dundalk keeper?
He was offside when the shot was taken, so he is still offside if it strikes a post/crossbar or keeper pushes it to him. Its a handy enough rule to interpret, If the shot was more closer to him opriginally the flag would have gone up straight away well it should but this the LOI!!
If he wasn't ruled offside when the shot was hit, he's not offside on the rebound. I didn't see when the flag went up, though. The instruction given to LoI refs is that the player must "touch or nearly touch" the ball in order to be considered active.
One of the goals of month canditates (thnk it was Kudizovic v Galway)they highlighted the wrong team iirc anyone else notice?
Is anyone else a little annoyed that Con's closing words were to plug the Premiership starting next week? I will personally eat the Carlisle Grounds if Eamon Dunphy reminds viewers about next Monday's MNS at any point during RTÉ's weekly w*nkfest over all things English.
That doesn't matter though.
I didn't see MNS yet, but in general as far as I understand the rule, if a player is in an offside position when a teammate shoots, the assistant shouldn't flag unless and until that player subsequently becomes active, such as when a rebound falls to, or near to, him.
Is that not what happened in this case?
Tonights MNS is now up on the MNS site for anyone who missed it.
Did anyone think Damo Rich looked jacked tired - was he out on the tiles or what?
Anyway of watching MNS in full screen????
Re - Offside
From watching the replay, I would say McGrath was active as he was nearly in line with the original shot as it was taken and therefore would have been in the goalkeeper's line of sight, therefore active.
anyone have a rough idea of viewership figures for MNS?
My wife asked me how bad Galway were during the Goal of the month competition.
She was pretty sure that all the goals were scored against them, except Sean kelly's obviously!.
I used the Fenlon interview as an opportunity to make a cup of tea, it's bad enough listening to his twenty second post match interviews. I was back in time for the ad breaks, which I'm sure were more informative.
Haven't had a chance to watch it show yet online but did they show any highlights from the EA Sports Cup Semi-Finals?
