Does anyone know if any tv station are showing Serie A this season (live or highlights). I know Italian football is in dire straits in many ways for many reasons but I just miss "GOL ACCIO" and James Richardson (who's now on Setanta, ughh) on Channel 4. It's always a great league with a great atmosphere, and don't forget who our national team's manager is!
Some might say La Liga is a better league and they maybe right but they don't have a certain Jose Morinho now do they?

I miss it too!! I usually use bet365 aswell but it wasn't working properly for me for Samp-Inter tonight.
I heard that Setanta will have some sort of coverage but they have nothing this weekend.

they're still in negotiations, so Serie A might still be on Setanta.
Gazetta Football Italia on Channel 4 on Saturday mornings. Best footy magazine show ever. Back when I was 15/16 I was always up to see it.
Always kept an eye on Milan, but I just wish their team wasn't in a constant state of geriatricity.

I think Bologna will finish near the top 10, they signed some decent players in the summer, I would be surprised to see them be in the relegation battle, I also think that Napoli will go close to Champions League place.

I don;t know if it affects international rights but the domestic rights in Italy are split between aerial, satellite & cable. Seems they show the same games too.

Absoluetly love Italian football, much more my style than the hustle and kick style you get in the Premiership. Inter will win the title again this year (4 in a row I might add) and I've money on them in the Champions League as well. I think last year they missed a competant coach like Mourinho to give them discipline in Europe.
I've also got my eye on Serie C1 as Hellas just have to come up this year after the near disaster of last year. If they don't they could go out of buisness :(

Oh come on. We both know Leeds and Juve were relegated under totally different circumstances.
Also, I get the impression you don't fully appreciate the details of Calciopoli (no one in this country seems to). There wasn't any straight forward bribing the opposition's keeper to let in a couple of soft goals. There was evidence that the ex Juve Director General Luciano Moggi(amongst others) colluded with the referee designators to try to ensure Juve got what he saw as "favourable" referees as often as possible.
When Juventus got punished, no-one implicated in Calciopoli was still at the club.
Moggi was not the only person involved, yet no other club was seriously punished.
Surprsingly, the Prime Minister's club got off after a quick appeal :rolleyes:.
No one in the footballing side of things at Juve was in any way involved in "match fixing". There were no bribes.
Anyway, I'm tired of living in the shadow of this. I'm looking forward to the Zenit match tomorrow, back in Champions League.:)
I know exactly what Juve were caught doing, and I agree it was dodge that Silvio's Boys got let off (relatively), but regardless of whether or not you thought the punishment was just the fact remains that Juventus aren't the only team competing against Inter for the scudetto, they still had to beat Roma and Milan (among others) and last season Inter were fantastic all season. To say that Inter's last two titles (I'd argue the third as well, but we'll agree to disagree on that one) are tainted by Juve's cheating is ridiculousQuote:

It does, but you're talking as if the Italian FA demoted Juve to freshen up the league and get the title on someone else. They were punished for cheating, no matter who's reign it came under the club had cheated and they are cheaters. That Silvio used his contacts to get Milan off on a lesser charge is irrelevant to this conversation, because you are dismissing Inter's titles off hand. I get probably 5 or 6 games every weekend here in the States on FSC. Watched most of them so far. The Genoa-Milan game was unreal. Such high quality ball played by both sides and the Genoa fans were going mental the whole time.
Catania have been surprisingly good under Walter Zenga but they will slow down I believe. Inter look strong though I think Milan will rebound and give them a run for their money. Juve and Roma look good too but I do not believe they are as good as the two Milan sides. AC had a dodgy start and they need rid of Maldini in my opinion but their victory at the weekend against Lazio was awesome.

The Milan derby is tomorrow. Mourinho's first. Should be good, Milan started very badly but have picked up a bit. Inter are top of the table and looking very strong so far.
Just saw the Roma match there, they beat Atalanta 2-0.
Jeremy Menez looks like a really good talent for them. He's only 21. They've played pretty well today, without Totti as well.

Have to admit i miss the italian football aswell. U couldnt beat it on a lazy sunday afternoon.
Milan were well worth the win on Sunday night. They frustrated Inter and scored a great goal. Inter were reduced to long range strikes to test Abbiatti.
I'm sure that's saved Ancelotti's skin, for a while.

Watching Juve the other night brought back great memories of Serie A in it's pomp. Del Piero with a cracker, and Nedved running his socks off.
