There were concerns after torential rain but the pitch is in great condition and drains very well.
After a pitch inspection this morning eagle eyed Galway United officials spotted that the floodlights on one side of the pitch were missing and therefore brought the game forward by half an hour to avoid having to play in semi darkness. Phew, that was close.

Still have a bad feeling on the Drogheda pitch, 1pm very early for a pitch inspection, especially if this rain doesn't lift in the next 6 hours, could do without another Finn Harps. :(
Think i'll wear my golf waterproofs to united park tonight. Hopefully the rain eases up a bit. Are there any plans to check the pitch again this evening?
You would have to think so, judging by the rain, but they've put themselves in the position where they'll look like idiots after passing it at 1pm, so who knows?Quote:
