you missed Sean Scannell of Crystal Palace, he's a striker for the U-17s. Not sure what team he's in at Palace though, I've seen reports of him in the reserves, and the U-18 sides. Can't find a date of birth either.

Good man EB!! Did you CC Steve Staunton on that list. I think the back of the Evening Herald only gets him so far.
For what it's worth there's a young lad about 18 I think, Niall McArdle on the books at Sunderland. I dunno at what age you drew the line for your list though. The only reason I'm aware of that paticular dude is he went to the school where my wife teaches.
And just wondered if that guy from Arsenal Joe O'Cearuill was actually confirmed as one of us?
Anyone else note the struggle for alpha mail e-status on this site between Eirebhoy and theWorm nowadays??:D
I'm sure there's Irish kids that I haven't listed on the books of most clubs but it's probably better to limit it to those that are playing for us at underage level or at a decent level for their club (ie. those you can keep track of). :)
Almost every player on that list came from Football Manager 2006 and Joe O'Cearuill is listed as Irish in the latest update of that. I also found this link which is from his time at Leyton Orient:Quote:

Young central defender Joe O'Cearuill was born in London on 9 February 1987 of Irish parentage, he made one appearance for the U-17s in 2001-2002. He was in the U-19 squad that retained the Riviera International Cup, held in Exeter during August 2002. He was a regular for the U-17s in 2002-2003 with 19 (1) appearance, he also made 2 appearances for the U-19 side. He was one of six young players to sign first year Scholarship forms in May 2003. The club hope he might join the Republic of Ireland youth squad in the near future."
If it wasn't for him I'd have never posted an updated list. ;)Quote:

Posted this ion the old thread by mistake:
Adding to Worm's list from this weekend:
I think Jim O'Brien was on the bench for Celtic.
Anyone see Andy Keogh's goal? Quality.
Just saw Billy Clarke's goal from midweek. OK, keeper may have saved it but great run & shot.
Stephen Quinn will definitely start for Sheff Utd tomorrow in their Carling Cup match vs Bury.
Missed this last week, Man City's reserves lost 1-0 to Man United's reserves. City had Stephen Ireland and Garry Breen in the starting line up, while there was no Irish involvement for United.
Breen was substituted, after unfortunately deflecting the ball into his own net, with a minor injury and will miss tonight's game against Newcastle. Ireland is expected to play against Chesterfield on Wednesday, so Donal McDermott is coming into the side tonight. I'll post a review later on.

Just noticed this above. LOL :)
John O'Shea - Jack of... - 30.4.1981
And what kind of name is Travis Binnion? Do we have another Dawson Stelfox in our midst?
Is Patrick Kohlmann still at Dortmund B ? I think he was born in Germany but had an Irish mother ??
Could have been to fulfill under-age requirements for SPL squads, rather than 100% merited.Quote:

I haven't heard his name in so long I forgot all about him. :) I checked on Dortmund's website and he included in their squad for a match against Hamburg a few days ago:
http://www.borussia-dortmund.com/?%E...C%5Ci%E6%8C%94
He was an unused sub and was his first time on the bench this season.
I seen this post on Bigsoccer from the last week about an amateur game:
" "kicker" also stated that Kosi Saka and Sahr Senesie are working well together as a pair. Their choice for BVB's outstanding players were goalkeeper Pirson and midfielder Kohlmann."
I thought he was a left back?
