Who's excited ?
Intrigued (maybe) to see Lawal and Vale. They could be big players for us in forthcoming campaigns.
Close the thread...
Its just depressing.
Ain't going to get much better in the summer with a glamour set of games against Grenada, Qatar and Canada to come.
May as well try and enjoy it. Last caps for Coleman and Brady?
They should organize a friendly against Malta for opening day of the WC... just to rub it in, like...
Millenic Alli called up.
I will be travelling up from the country to support the team. I was in Prague and gutted like everyone else. They are our team and we can't only pick the good times to be part of. The players themselves will be inconsolable. I'll be there to give them a clap that's what it's all about for me.
40,000+ Attendance
This game will be a collective grief therapy session for the players and fans.
HH saying its about continuity of selection today - https://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/2026...perimentation/
I'd like to see Lawal start & a good look at Vale. That's about as much as can be salvaged here.
In the Czechia thread someone mentioned that Browne and Azaz should start to rip the band aid off. There's merit in that approach - particularly if Azaz (in central positions) is to be a pillar going forward, because he didn't play well on Thursday.
I wouldn't be so sure that Seamus Coleman is finished with us to be honest, he didn't look finished on Thursday for the type of game plan we look to employ against peers. Jimmy Dunne deserves a run now having been introduced a number of times - and if he starts at RWB, I'd start Vale in front of him, for familiarity at worst.
If anyone wants a free ticket for tonight let me know. I can't make it unfortunately
Yeah disappointing. Makes it an even more meaningless exercise. Hope Lawal and Vale get at least 30 minutes.
Coleman walked out with his kids. Is this his last twist in the green?
Czechs a goal up 😒
