Derry are excellent value; we're very much weakened on last season. Cork at 8/13 against Mervue is a free pint or two.

I like Rovers at 7/4 to beat Sligo
Think I'll be investing a large sum in Pats/Bohs/Dundalk treble too (if I can get over my fear of backing pats)

Bray at 15/2 look decent value to me. Pat's are solid if not spectacular and Bray have a decent squad and are not as bad as the defeat to Bohs suggests. I think it's worth a few euro anyway.

Yeah Bray or the draw could be worth a look. Other than that, Derry, Dundalk, Harps and Cork. Wexford/Longford draw too. Will have a further look later but I'll probably back some of those.

Away wins for Derry, Harps and .... Longford.
A win for the Magic Moans with the added Roddy effect perhaps?

If Bray and Drogheda re both 15/2 and Galway 17/2 there is no contest for the best bet of those three.
Only Bray have a realistic chance of winning - reasonable long shot bet

Going for over 2.5 goals @ 10/11 in the Dundalk/Galway match and Dundalk win 2-0 @ 5/1 .

A Dundalk, Limerick, Bohs treble for me looking at those odds. Works out at slightly over evens.

Just reading Mike Kerley interviewed on extratime he played seven u18s against Waterford and will be working from the same squad again more or less for Harps. Athlone have a good youth set up but I can't see them matching Harps who are by all accounts a strong team. Though I'd add the caveat that I thought Waterford were certs against them last weekend. As regards us, I dont know, we did well for good spells in the game last week and it should be close but as it's our first away game I'd like to see how our form holds up away from home. It was a problem last year but our defence looks more solid this year. The draw appeals to me.

A North-west Treble wouldn't be completely out of the realms of possibility. Tough call though.

Had a nice treble of Pats, Mervue and Shels last week
This week Derry, Cork and Harps?

was looking for dundalk -1 or -2, but best value is 10/11 on over 2.5 goals as said above. should be wins for bohs and dundalk, also like cork at 8/13. nothing much different from everyone else on here.

Waterford away to Monaghan is the other one that's tempting me. Waterford have a game under their belt and after a poor performance will be looking to make up for it here. Monaghan will be boosted by the arrival of Collins but it doesn't alter the fact that they've had a disrupted pre-season and no competitive game yet.

i think monaghan will be very poor this year. have lost a load of players, hughes, gartland, o'connor, hanaphy, and more. dont know have they replaced them. think last season was a once off
