I'm in Derry.Quote:
We're sorry but RTÉ player is currently only available to viewers in Ireland. You can still continue to access a selection of RTÉ programmes on www.rte.ie
W@nkers.
Why not just watch it in the normal place?

I e-mailed RTE about the poor quality on RP a while ago, and never got a reply :(
The player works fine for me... in Germany. :)
Works for me now :D
I'm Irish again!
Oh yeah, it should be pointed out that its a Beta thingy, so obviously there'll be a few blips along the way
looks kinky! so far so good XD
I have to admit after checking it out (with the help of my friend Mr. Proxy) it is much better than the RealPlayer crap.
Is there any plans to make RTE Player accesible outside Ireland? Can see it really taking off just like the BBC one...
Oh and iPlayer is accesible outside Britain - it can be viewed across the whole UK of GB and NI.
Well, yeah, obviously...
Yeah, you're right, this new yolk does look promising, and its working away for me now...
Its long overdue though. Up until now, their online facilities have been shocking. Would try to watch shows like "Raw" online and they would invariably go on a loop after 15 minutes...
Yeah RTÉ's online presence has been dire. I really like the interface of the RTÉ player, and I can't wait til more content gets added. Does anyone know if there will be an archive of old RTÉ programmes on it like 4 OnDemand or will it be a catch-up only service like BBC iPlayer?
On a related note, BBC iPlayer is going to offer true HD very soon, for a selected number of programmes. Great if you have a PC with a HDMI connector. I'll be able to watch their shows on my telly with class picture.
