Anyone have the corbally team from tonight?
Interesting to see who showed up for the most imprtant game of their season
What are you talkin about thats what the site is for to discuss jonior football summerville are the same as every team in town and its sh#t stirrers like you on here causin trouble that should pipe down a bit.
and whats this about analog and medals who else should they play for Dell all those guys work in analog with the exception of darren and cyril who grew up with the lads workin there,
mike maguire was the other lad up front.got the 3rd goal with a great finish.corbally played very well the 1st 20 mins.got 3 good goals.thought myself though that balla really upped it in the 2nd half and imo they tore corbally assunder in the 2nd half.great finish by karl meehan to win it for corbally with the last kick of the game.done very well to get the ball on target although thought the balla keeper could have done better.fair play to corbally.they battled hard and got there just reward, the game was by no means handed to them anyway.
Corbally going with 5 at the back almost cost them the game, ridiculous move as they then got hammered in midfield.
The winner should go down as an OG to Dunphy
dunphy, gareth ryan, conway, philip collopy, paul quinn, brock all started fo balla.spud came on after 30 mins for collopy, earls came on with around 30 mins to go.the other lads they had playing werent the worst either.earls and spud really changed the game for balla.earls should have had around 4 goals.
its not corballys problem that balla didnt put out a full strength team.corbally were missing 3 players also on the night.in the end of the day the matches of the last 6 weeks have been a shambles for all concerned e.g granville v aisling, granville v fairview, summerville v regional and last nights game balla v corbally.as i said in a previous post balla could have had 7 goals lastnite but for crossbars and 2 great saves by corbally keeper.as for gareth ryan from where i was watchin the game he played quite well and was up in the box for every balla corner trying to score.after all didnt he get them a peno?with even 2 mins to go he was eggin on his teamates to score so dont give me that rubbish about him throwing a game.
in my opinion all the matches of late between the mid table teams and relegation teams have been a joke and there is only one crowd responsible for it all. and that is the junior council for letting these fixtures go on so late when teams have nothing to play for.
Come out will you did you see the team balla put out against summerville????? what are you on about???? well done corbally for beating a team summerville got humped by the other day haha messi the only thing messi about you is your head, off with your stupid posts go on now
Its someting thats confused me over the last few weeks actually, and especially considering Summervilles position. I think the whole attitude of 'sure if we lose Granville still wont win' has finally caught up and you have to wonder if Summerville will have the bottle for the scrap on Sunday.
Anyone who puts there poxy company before their club deserve all they get. For the record I want Summerville to stay up and will be there in support but I fear the worst.
I heard some of Granvilles players went and played a GAA match last week instead of playing against Carew........................If Granville have a full team it will be a close game......
Prediction:
Granville 2-2 Summerville (Summerville to win on peno's)
For the record, how did these two teams get on against each other during their 2 league games this season??
From what I've heard, this could be a handy one for Summerville. Granville looked for this game to be played Sunday the 13th to have players back from holidays. I believe their manager is now away on holidays and they will be forced to field some of their schoolboys from last season. They hadn't even a sub against carew. Time will tell. The table doesn't lie.
think summerville will win this one handy enough to be honest. 3 or 4 goals.
Granville will barely be able to field a team. Fair play to granville for making up huge ground to even get a playoff.I still think even if they had a full team they still wouldn win.
on another note summerville boys do themselves no favours on this site and i think that is why everyone is favouring granville.
So everyone look forward to all the gloating from sunday lunchtime on from all the summerville boys on there escape from relegation.
Granville are in a bit of bother alright, John O' Neill has asked a few former Granville greats to play on Sunday so you never know what might happen yet
Should be a hell of a game though. And with it being in Jackman, it will only add to the desire and will to win of both teams. Could end up being better than a Cup Final!!
I agree in fairnes, Jackman should be kept for the teams that deserve to get there (ie teams reaching cup finals or PROMOTION play offs) and not for teams that are fighting RELEGATION play offs..............IMO it takes the gloss and the acheivment off the teams that get to play in Jackman for Cup finals or play off finals................
All relegation play offs should be played on a neutral venue such as another premier clubs ground (ie; Pike, Boro or View, and seeing as they probably wouldn't let them use those pitches, maybe the likes of Corbally???)
bateman would be too good for those teams at the bottom.. if the ldmc were smart, they could have taken this opportunity to relegate both sville and gville and reduce the number of teams in the premier...
also, i agree jackman should be kept for cup finals only - what a splendid venue it is.. both teams would prob have been gutted if they were forced to play in a poor neutral venue like pike, boro or fairview instead :-)
Then again come to think about it........the LDMC will probably charge to watch the game on Sunday (Yes, You'll probably have to pay to watch Summerville v Granville) and if they do charge, where do you think the money will go???? It certainly wont be to any of the two clubs now will it??
Relegation play off's should be held in Hogan Park maybe??

How do you come to the conclusion that any of the clubs mentioned would refuse this fixture...I can only speak for the boro, but whenever we have been asked by any local clubs, schools, ldmc, ldsl & inter-firm for the use of the facilities,we have NEARLY always helped them out..
