whats this everybody hates summeville day,,two months ago the whole place hated granville then it was star and then aisling now summerville,, if what was said already is true and balla were missing ten then only 1 established A player was playing and that is bull,, sumerville haven't had a match in weeks and the guys they were playing yesterday had no pressure on them,,we were bad very bad but as people keep saying the league is not just about one match and if we deserve to go down we will
Heard there is big changes up at the Fairgreen for next season, with an overhaul of personell on the commitee, and the welcoming back of Mr.Finnan (not yet official, but will be soon).
If all is true and they sign some quality players then they will surely give Pike & Balla a run for their money next season.
don't think it is everyone hates summerville day, just seems to me that 2 of the most opinionated people on the site happen to be from the worst teams in the division so yes when or if they get relegated all the stuff that they have been spouting all year will come back to haunt them, don't think anybody had it in for granville, people had it in for the teams that gave them handy points(eg A/A and the view)
i agree with what you said above, balla in fairness had a strong team out yesterday,3 b lads started and i think the same 3 would push for a place on a lot of this years premier teams.
as far as the relegation battle goes corbally need a result against balla to force a playoff everyone seems to be forgetting about this... balla should walk it but in this town god only knows whats gonna happen
lads ,it will be interesting to see if the balla and corbally game even goes ahead this evening.with the amount of rain that has fallen since lastnite i think we could have a situation where there is an unplayable pitch (bateman) in july.never thought that would be a possibility but it could happen.what will happen if the game does get called off due to a waterlogged pitch?will it drag on for another 2 weeks?will bateman be able to hold the amount of water that fell since lastnite?
what do ye think?
Dont know how correct this is but it said on 95fm this morning that the match tonight is on in Corbally. Probably a mistake.......
cant see balla rollingover myself to be honest.by looking at one of the previous posts its clear from the summerville game that balla were missing alot but still they won well.im sure they will have pretty much the same team out tonight.i can see it being a good game to be honest.corbally have no choice but to go for it from the start.id say they have enough to worry about trying to get a team out after not having a match in weeks than worrying about whether balla will rollover.after all they put themselves in relegation trouble, nobody but themselves will get them out of it.
playoff between granville and summerville, balla 3 down early,, finished 5-4 to corbally and heard it was a last min winner wit rob earls hittin the bar a min earlier that would of won it for balla!
