So your manager, Buck Rodgers or whatever you call him , has buggered off to Reading for a pittance. Back to Graham Taylor again? Sack time soon?

Di Matteo the new WBA boss.
Not much transfer activity at Ipswich as yet.
Wouldn't be surprised if Paul Ince goes back there now.
Look what you've started OwlsFan!!-

Lee Martin, Man U, to Ipswich. Keane appears to have a bit of a spat with the Bristol Rovers' manager who also wanted to sign him.
7 draws, including Wednesday losing a 2 goal lead (plus ca change) and Watford holding Doncaster at Vicerage Road. Only good news, Ipswich losing to Coventry to 2 excellent goals by Clint. I heard Keane talking about conceding "sloppy goals" but they were two great strikes by Clint. More training with the Paras for Ipswich?
I didn't see the game but heard Ipswich played well yesterday? The championship is a tough one to call this year but I think Forest & Derby can make an impression.
Was absolutely thrilled to see Warnock at the end of the goal fiasco against Bristol City. Couldn't have happened to a bigger plonker. No only does the ball cross the line but it actually hits the back of the goal and bounces out and the ref and linesman don't see it.
He then attacks Bristol City for not allowing them to take a restart and deliberately concede a goal (this with a club he has previous with), refuses to shake hands with any of the City players and calls for a replay. Wrong on all counts.
FiFa should try as an experiment in some lower league game video technology for some incidents and see does it "slow the game down". I am sure that their argument is, well if we allow it for goal line incidents, where will it stop. Frees, penos, bookings etc etc - games could move from 90 minutes to 120 minutes.
I'd probably agree with goal line but some I have seen aren't clear cut. The English one in 1966 still can't be proven one way or the other.
Love it when it happens to Warnock.
I beg to differ:D

Why does this always happen to Warnock - quite like him normally. I understand why owlsfan has a particuar dislike to the man but by all accounts he is a decent bloke when away from the pitch(unless you happen to be Wally Dowds or Gary Megson that is). He was totally wrong but so was Jordon he was way OTT but both were wrong - ahh if only warnock engaged the brain before the gob other clubs fans might actually have some sympothy for him
Great 4-2 away win at Forest last night for the Hornets!!
I see that Sheff Wed are putting their hands deep into their pockets for an impressive revamp to Hilsborough

Congrats on the win.
Don't understand even long term Wednesday increasing the capacity of the stadium since when in the Premiership it was full for only a couple of games. If they have 22 million, should it not be spent on players? Also not sure where the money is coming from for this as I thought they were skint. Big deal - it's used for a few games in the World Cup. A white elephant comes to mind.
Forest were ****. Billy Davies splashed the cash on strikers during pre season but is blaming the board for not buying him any defenders.
Owlsfan - item on SSN saying it's 'public' money?!
Will it be more of the same for Forest this season? it's lookin like it at the moment. I know you tipped them to do well but didn't understand the optimism, haven't been keeping track of their transfer activities or pre-season? Would have expected Billy Davies to do well there though.
It's a thin enough line between fighting relation and fighting for a playoff spot in that division anyway so who know?
Things aren't getting any easier for Ipswich with Shane Supple retiring. The next 3 matches look menacing enough as well...
West Brom (a)
Preston (h)
Middlesbrough (a)
Apparently it's from some council grant thats been lying around for a while & they are desperate to spend it, synically, lots of blades fans are of the opinion its due to the fact 95% of Sheffield council are owls fans(don't know where this comes from). Even still its rich from a club who only weeks ago asked their own fans to bring their own paint & help paint some stand. Lots of blades fans think your new chairman reminds them so much of previous sufc chairmen prior to Dooley & McCabe in that they are full of hot air & just looking for ways to rip the club off & that he has just announced this because sufc announced last week their new stadium plans to make it a 37-38000 all seater capacity with new roofing for one of the stands(i think it was the Kop) to try & gey named as a world cup venue if that lot over the water win the 2018w.c.
Saw the WBA vs Ipswich game. Ipswich need to tighten up at the back if they are to make any sort of challenge for promotion. WBA created a host of chances but Ipswich created quite a few as well. Garvan played but had a quiet game. Bruce played at full back but lost his man on a number of occasions.
Relegated teams leading the way apart from Cardiff. Early days yet though.
What d'you make of this OwlsFan? Must admit I never liked the guy, or thought he was any good.
Jeffers Transfer Listed
Owlsfan, apparently Garvan is to be transfer listed along with Stead(inho) & A Quinn + don't forget the Blades from your list of teams going well - we actually won at Reading(1st time I can remember this ever happening) & they're still playing negative crap footy under Big Kev
Nice to see John Sheridan come 5th in the list of all time Wednesday greats in the Sunday Times:
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/spo...et=132&page=12
I had forgotton that Cantona came to Wednesday first but stormed off to Leeds when Trevor Francis asked him to prove himself on grass (the green stuff) in snow bound Sheffied. He won a league title with Leeds :o
Surprised that a Swede tops the list. I thought David Hirst would get it.
No win still for Ipswich and the relegated clubs are doing well. History shows that if they don't bounce back the first season, it's a long hard climb after that.
Game of the season going on in the Sheffield derby at the moment
It's not only the Irish who are obsessed with Keane. Throughout last night on Sky's Football Special, Ipswich were continuously described as "Roy Keane's Ipswich" as they made their numerous visits to Bramall Lane and when United got their last minute equaliser, it was the usual "I wouldn't like to be in the Ipswich dressing room" or "I wouldn't like to have to do the post match interview". Is Keane that fearsome ? I have never seen him blow his top at an interview (other than a few sarcastic remarks) and I don't know how hard he is on his players.
p.s. His team is bottom of the league.
pps. ANyone seen any Ipswich jerseys around town?
Yeah I think they're obsessed with him too. Twas the guy reporting on the game that was to do the interview for them also. I don't think he was relishing the prospect. My buddy was telling me that he had a bit of a go at the most recent interviewer after the last match (I think). Your man was apparently throwing stats in his face about it being Ipswich's worst start for so many yrs and Keane was a bit thick with him. If anybody has a link to that could ye throw it up please. This might be the reason there was such emphasis on it last night though.
Owls fan- what do you make of Derby? for some reason I was expecting them to be half decent this season. I've a buddy over there and he says they're missing most of their first team on fairly long term injuries, is he just making excuses or is there some truth in it do you know?
Derby struggled as you know last season under Dunphy's and Giles' Ireland manager elect, Paul Jewell (until they sacked him). I don't think they have strengthened the squad to any great effect and, although they have great support, I wasn't expecting anything special from them this season. I'll know more after this Saturday ;)
I heard that Keane made a few choice comments at the Press Conference, but it was hardly anything to set the journalist quaking. I wonder is his bark worse than his bite?
Still no win for Ipswich and their match with Wednesday is approaching. Guanteed 3 points for Ipswich having watched the former's 4-1 demolition by Watford. Woeful defending and the Irish midfield anonymous. There is a possibility that both Sheffield managers could be sacked in the same week as United are on a very poor run as well.
The chop for Southgate. Surprised it took that long. Mind you with the poor support they get, 'Boro are a Championship side and they have overachieved for a while (a bit like Wigan and Fulham).
The Southgate sacking was disgusting.
Forest are still looking good. My other two tips to go up this season (Sheff Utd & Ipswich) are not looking so hot!
A very refreshing performance by Watford's youthful team against the Owls on Friday night......excellent performances from the two loanees, Henry Lansbury (Arsenal) and Tom Cleverley (Man Utd):)
