i heard there wasnt much damage done to bateman by the car
Someone said to me today, forget the pitch how much damage was done to the car?? Goin over the potholes must have fecked it up??
is the rule gone where if you played EL you cant go back playing junior until the following season?
Was still there end of last season anyway,Pike couldn't play Derek McCarthy in the Fai or Munster junior..
Pa Moloney and Jamie Enright going to Pike
Davy Wall called up to the irish junior team to play scotland this weekend
Must be a lot of caps and cash blowing around
boro going downhill.
how did ye manage to lose half a team. last year prem champs and lawson cup winners have hardly a team anymore. whats going on??????
maybe leather might shed some light
long wat to go yet .. lost 2 through work commits, 1 went back to help original club, 2 went home. 2 still injured. also cant promise caps to anyone... like any club , we will continue and rebuild as done before..present players have realised that maybe they rested on their behinds after last season and have now deceided to rectify the situ.. cant fault the effort that they have put in since they relalised this... maybe the requirement to train every night, every week, does not suit some players? they are the one that will leave in the comming weeks...
train every night?
Pa Moloney get capped??that the best 1 i have heard in a long time and Declen Considine having any bearing on gerry smiths squad is even better.ha
Der is only 1 man i know of in this town who can get a player capped nearly by just picking up the phone and it dont take a genius to work out who he is.
about the same amount as regional have...
pa moloney getting caps is a good 1 the former abbey/star/pike/boro/dines frontman isnt even in the top 10 forwards in town
Players move around... it can be hard for dedicated clubmen to see it happening but thats footy..affects every club....
just imagine the teams geraldines/granville would have had in the last 20 years if all their players stayed with them???
Pa Maloney.. Irish cap my behind? If I remember Pa mullaly told him to get lost a few seasons back and he certainly hasn't got the skill level to reach junior int. levels..dream on.
Pike Rovers seem to be the one team in town that manages to keep a core of dedicated club players around.
And Jamie Enright moving to Pike makes sense, since the kid lives across the road from the club.
And from the looks of it,it won't be long before connie is moving on to bigger and better things from his impressive start to management already..
Pa Moloney was told to leave pike the season before last by Mick Noonan the then chairman because towards the end of the season he played a game illegally with Abbey Rovers. Pa Mul never told him to "get lost". Haven't seen much of Jamie Enright is he a good player?
whose bisto?
Enright lives above in crossagalla somewhere, lively left/right winger from what I remember of him, around 19/20 now I think.
pike are so lucky to have a nice bunch of guys up their, fellas that would follow the club in good times and bad, sure money couldnt buy loyalty like that and its great to see them ALL out on a sunday night for a drink-win or loose.keep it up lads its what junior football is all about ,friendship and making new pals.
by the way lads pa just wants to play with his friends and drinking buddies up in the pike, cant begrudge him that surely.no mention of money or caps just wants to be with his friends.well done to conny on his signing
Over the last what 10 years we've had players like Walsh, Enright,Declan Casey, morris, the McGarry's,hannrahan,Phelan and so on play for us and remain loyal.
I doubt Phelans 1 year out of the last 15-20 years playing for pike knocks his loyalty..Same with the rest...
And lads you've gotta get the players from somewhere if you don't have a strong schoolboy system up there..
Monster...
No it is not a dig at Fairview... there are many clubs that kindly signed players from the dines & granville.... no offence meant.. just stating a fact
