but you bolded the part of SD's post that you were responding to. And said you didnt think a call up had ever been a possibility. And now you have said it was a remote possibility.
Bah, who cares....

Ah, I get you now. I shouldn't have said ever.
Never say ever.

VVV are after signing two midfielders on loan, one of which (Steven Berghuis) is a current Dutch u21 international.
Maguire scored a cracker at the weekend, but Venlo still lost 3-1 and are now 3rd from bottom in the Eriedivisie

That was a very "matter-of-fact" finish. Dutch assuredness combined with Irish nonchalance.
Two goals in three games now for Maguire, opened the scoring early on for VVV Venlo at the weekend against Utrecht, but went on to lose 4-2 and are now staring at the relegation play offs in Holland

another goal at the weekend for Barry, bit of a tap in after the keeper got tangled up with the Venlo striker

Maguire made his comeback for Venlo last night as a late substitute in a 3-0 loss to Roda JC. Venlo are rock bottom of the Eredivisie with 3 points from 8 games, and a goal difference of -14
So he's good enough to play in the starting 11 of Ireland then :p
If he's selected in two weeks time I will see him play against Alkmaar. I'll be in amstrerdam but couldn't get tickets for under 70 euro for Ajax but Alkmaar is only half an hour away so it will have to do.
Maguire opened the scoring for Venlo yesterday against AZ Alkmaar, they went to claim their first win of the season 2-1
good movement from him before finishing from close in
Venlo still bottom of the table on goal difference
Barry Maguire scored for VVV Venlo this evening to put them 2-0 up in the 51st minute of their game against Roda JC. Venlo did go on to lose 4-2, though, conceding four goals within the following twelve minutes.
I live a 20 min drive from the VVV stadium but I still haven't made it to a game - shame on me.
I'm also 20 mins from the Mönchengladbach stadium and have never been there either - shame on me.
I have been living here nearly 8 years now
I think I know what my New Year's resolution should be :)
goals from the Venlo's game against Roda JC, Maguire's goal is on 3 minutes
can you legally bet on sports in Ireland?
