Would you ever stop making a big deal out of nothing. :)

I can guarantee that McGeady was prevented from leaving the dressing room on Saturday to pick up his MOTM awards and has been phoned by a member of the Celtic backroom team asking him to apologise to Lennon.
The quotes you have are from an interview on Scotsport by Lennon and they've been selected and rearranged to sound very different to what was actually said.
As I have said. Aiden won't play against Rangers. If he does I, and he, will be shocked.
I really can't wait to see if he starts now as it puts any credit you might have out the window. :)
tbh, I probably would have done the same thing as Lennon. Lennon was trying to discipline McGeady as the club captain. Shouting at him probably isn't the best way to go about it but plenty of captains do it. McGeady then calls him an arsehole and a dick and I can imagine how Lennon's blood would have boiled. He was wrong to push him but I doubt I would have been able to shut my mouth and walk away from McGeady in that situation.
As much as I'd love to make McGeady out as a nice queit guy, you're making me portray him as an idiot because of your bias. :)
With all due respect I was only posting what I've heard.
I'd also like to say I don't know for certain if he will play or will not play but would like to point out I don't post anything that I don't have from a good source.
PS: I am not making anything up. Last time I posted something from the same source was when I put up that Maloney OR McGeady weren't playing against Man Utd...
The Celtic lineup for the Man U match was well leaked that day. Plenty of Celtic forums had it up at lunch time. Maybe you do have a reliable source but you're putting points across as fact and now backing down. I'll be very suprised if he doesn't start against Rangers.
Couple of pictures of the Bhoy Wonder in his youth!!

If you can provide a post earlier than that then I'll apologise for doubting you and your source. :)
Could you tell me the time on that cuz I'm not registered on that board...
Here's my post

McGeady STARTS at the weekend!!! :D
Ya beauty. Told by Strachan yesterday!
Mon the wee man!
What has any of this to do with Ireland?
If it was anyone else eirebouy you would have moved and changed thread titles about 12 pages ago.
It's a topic about McGeady. I just wanted to see if McGeady10 did have a source in Celtic (for obvious reasons) and it appears he has some kind of source anyway. I'd love to know what made you make that post btw as I haven't moved or renamed a thread in weeks. There's more people than me with mod powers in the Ireland forum.
Anyway, back to McGeady.
In fairness it doesnt bother me what is in any forum I just think a bit of consistancy wouldnt go astray. I dont think I have ever even looked at the SPL thread and it is with good reason. the last few pages have had nuthin to do with Ireland at all. In fact if you changed around a couple of the names it wouldnt look out a place on a westlife forum.
Watched most of this game yesterday, once I saw that McGeady was starting. I'd been tough on him before as he had never impressed me in any game that I'd seen him play. Yesterday though, I was pleased to see that his game is much more tidy and he's far more direct now. He was willing to get stuck in and make tackles, even though he doesn't usally get the ball.
Certainly a key player in yesterdays performance and in the better team too, as far as I could see. He would need to put in a showing like that consistantly, to deserve a starting place for Ireland. Having said that, I think he'd be good enough to start against weaker teams, such as San Marino, Slovakia and Wales.
actually now you mention it....I wonder if there is one and if so what would be on it....
I consider myself a McGeady fan and though he looked lively at times during the Old Firm clash, I was disappointed and felt he did little practical good for his team.
Still a bit of a work in progress but I'd like him to start or be a well used substitute for us in the remainder of the campaign.
If McGeady is to prove as effective for Ireland as he does Celtic then he will need to be deployed on the left. He's far more lethal cutting inside that going around the outside. Duff can be quite effective on the right anyway.
i just hope that whoever we put out in croke park doesnt shame us a la cyprus. As for Aiden i am a huge fan , he pulled off some spectacular stuff on sunday and i long for the day he does it consistently in an irish jersey
Here's his trademark spin from the Rangers match:

What was the strange reason?
Just posting clips and this site complained because of copyright even though none of the clips came from here:

All my video's are now gone from youtube (trying to contact them through e-mail.
Pity about the McGeady clips being censored. Even though the clips are obviously not EPL? I hope the McGeady appreciation society find some other place.
I'm not quite convinced that he's a confidence type player, more a trying too hard too fast, to prove something. From the interviews he sounds very together, has had to endure a lot of stick about his nationality but was comfortably sure with his decision. Has had to handle the supposedly tougher tacklers and abuse in the SPL.
Looking at him for Ireland and in the CL, I think you could make a fair comparison with Duff and his first appearances in Green.
When Duff came on against Turkey away and Portugal away, he just kept it tight, layed off the ball, didn't lose possesion, waited for his opportunity to turn it on in later games.

Great McGeady interview... clips from his childhood etc!! :D
Notice him wearing the Ireland strip for the 94 World Cup... Aged 8 :D

I watched the second half of Celtic's match against St.Mirren.
McGeady didn't impress me much but he scored a good goal.
Interesting McGeady quotes after his return to the Irish starting line up from the IT
http://www.ireland.com/newspaper/spo...332465827.html
Only the McGeady quotes are pasted here from the article
"Every game you play for Ireland you want to show the manager what you are all about," says the Celtic player. "You want to impress with every opportunity you get. That's what it's about really, and I hope I have done myself justice with this game.
"I enjoy playing in matches like that because we were knocking the ball around so well. We have got players who can pass the ball around and you know you are going to get on the ball, the other players are going to make space for you."
"What Stan wants me to do is stand out wide and try to get crosses into the box, and I was happy I was able to get one for Robbie who was brave, got in there and took it well, as well as a pass for Shane who managed to score also. Overall, of course, I was pleased.
"I'd say it was probably my best game for Ireland, but I haven't really had a run in the team. It's been 10 minutes here and 15 minutes there. I think I've only started one or two games. But hopefully I am going to have a bit of a run now, I'm looking to stay in there."
He didnt play well against hearts on Saturday. A lot of his passes went astray, not many runs came to anything and he was muscled off the ball on numerous occasions. That said one little bit of skill and quick thinking from him opened up hearts defence for a nice little cross to the back post that was nodded down for a goal. I'm sure it'll be on you tube if anyone is interested. Given that Ireland have struggled over the years at creating clear goal chances I think its worth having Aiden in the team as he will usually do this at least once in a match.
Yeah he wasn't great against Hearts. It's interesting that his best game for Ireland came in the middle of 2 poor games for Celtic. His cross for the 3rd goal was excellent (1.40):

hearts are crap.
