I'm sure we were in the UEFA cup but then again, RTE doesn't do the UEFA cup
Ah bless. You've gotta love them really.
Remember the days where week-in, week-out they'd be spelling Stephen Geoghegan's name incorrectly?
Geoghan 35'
Yeah, it was just last week when Aertel noted he'd put UCD 1-0 up against L#on in the UEFA Cup.
You what?
Eh, no. It was a joke.
Good POTM nomination though!

The Indo website this morning:

Last night, the First Division resumed with a 2-0 win for Kildare County in their clash with Sporting Fingal.
Someone must have went home early...
A few months ago i read on aertel "Derek O'brien had a pull last week and was forced to sit out the home defeat against cork city". I burst me hole laughing!!
Today in Irish Daily Star some pathetic crawling
We regret FAI errors
As Ireland's top sports paper, we publish hundreds - no, thousands - of articles each year about the FAI and soccer generally.
Unfortunately, sometimes we get it wrong.
One such example was in the June 17 edition of the Irish Daily Star. We stated that FAI Technical Director Packie Bonner was not part of the recruitment process for the International Performance Director and Under-15 international team manager jobs. We now accept that Packie Bonner is involved in both recruitment processes and we admit our error.
Also, in the edition of the Irish daily Star on Monday, June 16, it was stated that Brian Kerr, while manager of the Irish senior team, found it impossible to get match tickets through the FAI for the Euro 2004 finals in Portugal.
The FAI has informed us that, according to their records Brian Kerr received all the tickets he applied for at Euro 2004. The Star accepts this.
We are happy to clarify these important matters.
Irish Daily Star
"Better Because We Tell Lies about Irish Football."
The Star neglected to name the reporter(s) or Editor(s) involved in the decision to publish the erroneous information.
I don't know the facts in these cases but many "errors" newspapers admit to can simply be stories they cannot prove in court.
The danger is that you run a story based on the word of a disgruntled employee or former employee.
Anyway this topic reminds me that Aertel have got so much better later. Maybe they have been sorted out.

wtf is dopey george going on about
Eh WTF is right! I go to TRFC home and away every season and rarely meet any Irish people ! Those that I have are there for EVerton or Liverpool the following day. There were a gang of Irish QPR fans from Galway over a few years back where the game got cancelled due to a frozen pitch in Prenton. It was their clubtrip for the year and they went to Goodison instead! As if their day couldn't have gotten any worse :)

Apparently Graham Cummins scored a last minute equaliser for Ramblers when in fact it was Daryl Kavanagh!
I know from doing the scores each week that you can get it wrong at times, however give me a budget and resources and you should have no excuse. My problem is actually putting players in the correct positions :)
Gary Birtles kept reffering to Dave Mooney as a player from non league football on Soccer AM this morning
Harps - Cobh game had a 7.45pm kick off but was advertised on Errortel as 8pm kick off leaving alot of people missing the kick off.
TV3 last night said Danny O'Connor and Sami Ristila scored last night. It was Sean O'Connot and Ibrahima.
The UCD v Derry game yesterday was apparantly in the Brandywell, according to the match preview.
On Premier Soccer Saturday on RTE last night Kenny Cunningham kept calling Abou Diaby 'Abu Dhabi' and kept calling Xabi Alonso 'Javier Alonso', especially Alonso he must have said it 5 or 6 times...
Kenny Cunningham has always been terrible with players names............constantly gets them wrong:D
hertha v pats
aertel last night - took them until 6:20 last night to give latest score - was stuck on
Hertha v St Patricks
from 5 o'clock
Mulcahy fitness boost for Cork ladies
Cork's top scorer, Valerie Mulcahy will be available to play in the All-Ireland final against Monaghan on Sunday week.
The Ladies Gaelic Football Association Disciplinary Committee met last night to discuss the forward's sending off in the semi-final win over Tyrone when she got a red card for dissent.
Mulcahy received the minimum two week ban which will expire this Saturday.
GAA I know but "fitness"
Come on
