they are brilliant one game and then the rubbish they play the next game oh my god :D they play ballyheane a team and lost 2-0 but it could have easily been a draw at the end, ballyheane was only missing peter burke then they played the bally heane b team and guess what they lost 5-2 what the common sense in that??????
against castlebar united that day i believe thay was crap !
Elvery's Super League
Ballyheane 1-1 Snugboro United
Really bad game of football, very little chances, Ballyheane deserved to win, Snugboro scored in last minute.
Doe anyone else find these predictions really annoying!!!!Quote:

I have been at a few Division 2B games and always make a point to see Partry/Swinford games as you can guarantee goals. I was at both Swinford wins over Partry this year and I don't think swinfordfc gave the full story.
In both games the Partry keeper was sent off. The cup game after Swinford won 4-2 Partry beat Swinford 6-1. The cup team that beat Partry 5-1 bore no resemblence to the league team. I was at the Swinford/Ballyheane super league game a few weeks later and I saw a few of that cup team on the Swinford A team.
Is it fair for ****** B to not be allowed promotion if as expected they win their division?
****** have been involved in this situation before, last time they decided not to form a seperate committee which would have allowed them into the super league. If ****** were allowed into the super league in any other way there would be a chance of collusion between their two teams.
Whats the two super league games down for thursday?
The Champs Port travel to the unpredictable Heane - not their favourite location as have lost their last three visits here and the lucky boro go to nondescript Erris. Expect two draws as the port will find it hard to keep going and the boro will play their effective back to the wall stuff. The boro's results this season have been remarkable, only two defeats both at home to an odd goal in three. Having seen them I think their manager has done wonders to get these results as they work so hard and no prima donna's in sight. Well done indeed. The Celts look like getting second - perhaps a cup as well, maybe two cups - so much for relegation fodder with some of you chaps earlier. And by the way not calling them by their name is like something I would do to allude to the mancs in England - very childish and they do not deserve that compliment yet - if awards are due dare I suggest insult the port,at least they deserve it. Will the Glass survive next Year ? Badly missed in the Super League looking forward to their return
Gnasher says: Mossy, You is raving man! We can't call them castlebar ****** because the nice men who moderate this class website don't allow any references to ****** as the site is not about bigotry/sectarianism etc and they are also smart enough to know it could become overrun by loonies who know nothing else but exactly that (or maybe it happened ages ago when gnasher was a gnipper), so they have a nice piece of jiggy software that zaps the word into five stars, like this *****. That's why I call them the Hoops, etc. No disrespect to Shamrock rovers fans.
I mentioned the relegation fodder thing, you have a good memory, but stall your digger right there. Anyone with half a leukocyte would know that it was never going to happen and that I was just dreaming, I am allowed to dream, am I? Gavin Dykes is going to do a good job on them, even me blind granny can see that!
Phew! Do you know how to have a laugh or what?
Anyone have any thoughts on the promotion/relegation issues throughout the league now that we are coming towards the run in. Who will go up or down and will they survive if promoted or will they bounce straight back if relegated?
If Fahy rovers go up, do they have facilities to play in the super league.
Well good to hear I got a response from you. Indeed it did look for a while that the county town team where in serious trouble and if the hest and swinford were any good at all then that may have occured however the heane keeper let them in and they have never looked back since however they are a long way off from being a good team yet and their footie is as boring as ever. I think Jack Charlton must be fishing in the county town as both them and the boro like to hoof in contrast to the port and erris for example. Any thoughts on the Two Games tonight then gnasher my old funny bunny !!!!!
gathers no mossy!
I concur on all your points. Unusual, I know.
Yeah, tonights games. Mmmm, the Heane V's Westport will be a cracker I reckon. Westport to shade it or at worst a draw. (Still hammered with injuries, boo-hoo!). They are a bogey team for us after all.
Erris to beat Snugboro. Funny you should say that about Erris playing the ball on the deck. It's the first few years for many of their lads (the U-18 champs) playing junior soccer, and they will get used to the 'robustness' and pace of the game in the super league. I cannot begin to countenance what type of a team they'll be when they get used to it. They have some very good players. Again, this will be good for the league. It won't be long before the bonfires are lit in the barony again, methinks!
Any scores from the matches last night?
Ballyheane 1 - 0 Westport
Divisonal Cup Semi-Finals
Claremorris 2 - 0 Inver Utd
Westport Utd B 2 - 0 Kiltimagh/Knock Utd
Sort of a good day / bad day for westport utd. Still, Ballyheane are good at taking points from them.
Spices the league up a bit!
Erris 2-1 Snugboro.
Spices up the league even more. Erris level with Westport now?
When finally are them points being given to westport as every paper or website have not given them points to erris yet?
In the Mayo News this week, they had deducted Westport and awarded the points to Erris. I doubt they would of published it unless it was 100% so thats good enough for me.

Did anyone hear about the ****** C-Ballyheane B abandonment yesterday?
Apparently Referree Loftus, turned down a stone wall penalty for ******. The Ballyheane manager was at a wedding or something, so someone was camcordering the match. So the ****** managers/supporters or whatever were saying "It's all on tape Harry, you'll see it was a penalty". Then Harry goes over to them, says, Your not bringing me up to any discipliniary hearings etc... And then he abandoned the game. It's probably not the whole story but if it's in any way true, it's a further indictment of the refereeing in the Mayo League.
Well the Celts are at it again and a referee had the balls to say enough is enough and walk off. Have any of ye witnessed the vitriol that pours forth from their supporters. It is incredibly rude and the port are heading the same way - However these are probably just the johnny come lately's. But seriously the ****** grounds are full of loud mouthed gits and the quicker the club runs them the better !!!!!
Gnasher says: That a match was abandoned for that is very unfortunate. That ref. is an alright guy, he's been at the game for years so why he did it is beyond me. He may have thrown a wobbly but he should know by now that the Mayo League are about as technologically advanced as a toilet brush! They would not have a clue how to use video evidence and I seriously doubt it if they could even be bothered. They're too busy trying to ban players for exorbitant amounts of time and telling teams that 'we're taking your players for the U-21 side that we love' and 'ye can all bugger off'.
If ref's start dropping out cos' of abuse it will mean the end of the league for all but the top teams, now that would be a shambles that even the Mayo League would want to avoid. (I think).
On the subject of giving ref's abuse, we all do it so get down off that high donkey you're on Mr. Mossy. Granted the level of abuse varies but it all depends on how it's said and who hears it. It's true that the townies may have more colourful language with which to abuse the ref. but believe me, I'm not going to stop because they've suddenly come over all sensitive. Some of the stuff you see the ref's let go would drive you to drink turpentine (never mind Smithwicks!), so some abuse is warranted. I've seen numerous occasions this season where ref's turn a blind eye to serious foul play because they don't like (or maybe are jealous) of the team they are refereeing. This sounds like sour grapes but just ask any supporter and they'll concur. Do Eircom League ref's need counselling? No. Fair enough they may get paid more than our ref's but they know they'll get some abuse do they just get on with it.
End of the day - match officials in Mayo get paid (supporters usually pay for this with gate and lotto etc.) so why should they keep quiet? If it was totally voluntary then it's a different story, they have every right to walk away.
Until then, they just have to grow thicker skin and stop being afraid of what the gimps in the Mayo League will do to them if they give that last minute penalty or sending off (even if it's the right decision).
I'm seriously thinking of complaining myself. The ref's are giving me a repetitive strain injury in my wrist from typing!!!!!!!!
lads,
keep it civil or the thread gets locked.
Lads,
we got a nice right up in the mayo news today i think we all got a mention well done Mayo news :)
Swinford v Snugboro game (last 40 mins) to be play again after ref amitted mistake in sending off player - lads what ye think of that?
I think the Snugboro coach was right in what he said. It sets a dangerous precedent. I suppose it means a lot to both sides given their respective places in the table but is it really the best solution?
What was the score of the game anyway? A draw?
Snugboro won it 1-0 was 1 up when sending off took place
What can one say. This is G.U.B.A. at it's height !!!
Why oh why oh why can't the clubs wise up and send these dinosaurs to their rightfull place - a MUSEUM
what will happen if swinford can turn game around win it have to play snugboro again win that too = 9points turn around thats serious in relegation fight!!!!!
Of all the crazy rulings by the mayo league this has to take the biscuit !
What kind of moronic commitee took this kind of decision. I have to agree with mossy, time to turf these pencil pushers out on their ears.
By the way if you think this decision was idiotic, watch out Westport and ****** theres something special in the pipeline for you.
Come on The Don - Elaborate on that juicy bit of insider info. you just posted.
What could they possibly do to us that they have not tried already, i ask you.
- Player Suspended for six games for pitch enroachment after substitution (rule book says a player striking another should only get four, and there was no striking involved).
- Playing Four games in fourteen days (all league matches).
Let them come on!
We have the Junior cup and the Mayo League can kiss my ***!
Apologies all;
It was four games in ten days,
Gnasher not too good at skool
I AGREED
its the wrong decision to be honest i think can you imagine what could happen to every game now!!!!!! its mad
Snugboro United 4-2 Conn Rangers
Semi Finals
7 August
S&F V Manulla
Snugboro V celtjc
Another local derby.
General feeling in the boro about the 35minutes replayed seems to be"What? Are they serious?" And then generally just move on. It won't be until Swinford beat us in 35 minutes that anyone takes it seriously. The manager, as quoted in the Mayo News, made a good point about precedent. Fair play to Swinford for appealing it, it wasn't their fault. I hope it is settled without replaying the game but if it is, Snugboro and i hope Swinford will play it without ill feeling towards each other. The game will be started at 1-0 Snugboro.
If a referee admits to sending off a player wrongly, the red card is rescinded and the result stands. End of story. :mad:Quote:
