LOL at the Fagan rumour.
Fagan to Bray is a done deal already. Dennehy and McEleney too.
Pats fans what the story with Conan Byrne, someone on Bohs forum has linked him with us strangely
Don't see that as strange. had a very poor year. Think he wants to take a step back from (almost) full time training
Don't forget bonuses.
E50 per goal. E100 per win. E500 per manager.
Sam Oji in talks with Pats apparently
Gavin Gunning free agent, would love to see him at rovers
McEleneys move to Peterborough still on
The three year contract thing is a joke right?
The off season is serious business

Are we just looking to bring in mostly all pats players?
Well it makes a change from bringing them all in from The Showgrounds
Cork can forget about Duggan anyway, presume they are still after Ian Turner.
The club working extremely hard at the moment. Rumours flying that the club are talking to a few new players about coming in as well as keeping what we have.
I saw Benson play a few times last year and he looked the best player on the UCD team. Even the home match against Bratislava he was well able to get on the ball and was central to everything UCD did going forward that day. Him and Dylan McGlade should be playing in the premier division next year.
Anyone know if McGlade has been linked to any premier clubs. I'd guess that both Bohs and Pats would be keeping eyes on him...
There's a few more players in that UCD team well capable of stepping up to Premier. Dylan Watts and Jack Watson are both players with huge potential and would be great options for someone like Bohs or Bray.
Would love to see Benson at Harps though, however completely unlikely that'd be. Head and shoulders above everyone in the First Division last season.
Apparently Limerick have approached David O'Leary, Gary Shanahan and Sam Oji from ourselves.
A lot of our fans rate him. He never stops running, he always gives 100%. He's very wholehearted but he's not the most polished player, he wouldn't be skilful or the type to beat a man over and over but he pops up with the odd goal. He would do a job in the First Division for Limerick, especially in a squad of that quality but I'm sure Tommy Dunne will want to keep him if he can. He's been an ever-present under him.
Would be delighted to see all three with us next season.
Oji lives in Shannon as far as I know so would suit to sign for us if not staying with Galway.
O'Leary was with us for 4 years before moving on and his parents still go to Limerick matches so strong possibility there.
Gary Shanahan is a Limerick lad and the more of them we have that have played LOI the better in my opinion.
The fact that Limerick are obviously planning to keep a really squad just makes the decisions at the start of last season all the weirder.
Shannahan is quality, would score plenty of goals in the FD. Pacey, powerful and when he gets his confidence up he can score goals.
Shanahan has great heart and would run all day for you. A leopard also has a great heart and would run all day, but he'd be useless in a football team. Running isn't everything. Love Shanahan's attitude, but he's not a Premier Division player. O'Leary also has a great attitude, but I'd play Alex Byrne ahead of him. Hen again, I'd play O'Leary ahead of Paul Sinnott, and he's our captain! Oji had a good end to the season but overall, he has been a disappointment. Brought in to replace the departed Paddy Barrett, but I don't feel he filled that gap. So of the three, I'd be most disappointed to see O'Leary go, just marginally ahead of Shanahan but that would be down to Shanahan's pace - we don't have anyone else with his kind of speed.
POS really thought the youth team and a few experienced lads here and there would be enough for 10th. Took way too long for reality to sink in.
I'd have Oji back in a heartbeat of it could be arranged. One of the best defenders Limerick had over the past few years. Am starting to wonder a bit about squad cost in respect of expected income though.
I hope limerick come straight back up next year and can consolidate in the prem, the league needs them. But relying on businessmen to invest in the club can be a recipe for disaster. I hope they get away with it.
On a similar note, does anyone know where Bray are getting the money for the 2 yr contracts they're offering. After the chaos of last season have they got some new financial backer(s) or something??
There isn't a club in this league that isn't dependent on businessmen putting money in. From what I've heard it's mainly local business people that have started to help out the club. Hopefully we can add more sponsorship next season also from the locals as it's something that has been missing for years.
The Celtic Tiger is officially reborn when property developers are sniffing around football clubs again.
There's a big difference between sponsorship and backing from businessmen.
If a sponsor pulled out of Cork City, Finn Harps or any of the other fan owned models, they'd simply need to find another sponsor.
If a businessman pulled out major backing of Limerick, St Pat's, Derry, or now Bray...they'd all be screwed.
