Aye, you must say coz I gave you a fiver to! :D
1. I didnt get coffee. 2. the fiver was a bribe to Dillonman 3. I had to steal a seat from John Farrell whoever he is!! :D
Well it had this geezars name on it but I sat on it anyways. Once a rebel......:D
Oh dear, but you were the old guy with the beard right???
Hey Dundalk lads thanks for cheering me up. You are still gits and all though.
Was No. 10 for the Town young Dawson from the now deceased Sporting Fingal franchise? Looked handy enough whoever he was. Very postive performance tonight from us, should of at least got a draw. Was impressed with Hope and Morley when he came on. Here's looking forward to a decent season ahead!
Yeah Kevin Dawson was no. 10, appears to be the lad from Fingal judging by his pic on their site. He had a quiet game overall but he could be useful if he signs. Liked the look of Morley too, he's signed apparently.
I'm thirty-seven!
Is is true that the FAI want 300 quid for any friendly involving a LOI side, €150 for the ref and €75 for each lino. Its a bit much especially if the game is against a non league team in their ground.
I think the officials want that, not the FAI. But yeah, there is something like that even for sanctioned friendlies.
Id imagine if the game is sanctioned you cant use a local ref you would have to use one off the FAI list only conjecture on my part but sounds plausible.
Athlone hosting Pats tomorrow at 3pm apparently but haven't seen either club mention anything
Dodge have you not heard that Athlone Town signed some official secrets act so they do not release any details at all....about anything. Or so their fans will say!
Not the worst policy in this league in fairness
Gonna guess that's at AIT?
Different rates are charged for teams involved from different levels(premier division/first division teams). Im told that it was €150 for each lino at our recent friendly with a local MDL Dundalk side, and €500 for the ref. Open to correction here as of course these things are prone to exaggeration.
.
Apparently if there's a Premier Division team involved at all then the match officials are paid at the highest rate, think it usually amounts to over 700 in total. If two non Premier Division teams play each other then it's less, can't remember exactly how much less.
Another Shels friendly cancelled. Is that 3 now? Bray, Fingal and now Bohs.
The only very recently announced friendly between Bohs and Shels on Tuesday has been cancelled... Something to do with the guards or something like that

not enough notice for a pre-season friendly according to the gardai.
ermmmm...
Castlebar 0-7 Rovers. Doyle, Russell, Ventre, Mark McGoldrick(x2), Cretaro, Dillon.
Brendan Clarke played about 80mins in goal for us.
City 1 up against Waterford in the MSC q/f. No prize for guessing who scored our goal.
this has to be the reason so many friendly's are on the qt these days.Quote:
700. this has to be the least value for money ever
Waterford skipper Michael Cody sent off near the end of the game.
Will miss the first League game away to Shels in Tolka????
