Seem there will be updates on extratime, waiting to hear if it's on DundakFM
Dundalk FM will be covering it. I hope the audio is better than the Linfield game.
DUNDALK team v Glentoran: Cherrie; Madden, Hector, Guthrie, Murphy; Kearns, Bennett, Maher, Ward; Quigley, Byrne.

1-0 Portadown
0-0 @ H/T Glentoran V Dundalk
2-0 Portadown, looks like we'll be playing them so.
Dundalk take the lead
Quigley wonder-goal.
F/T @ the Oval and its advantage Dundalk 0-1 :D:party::cool: GET IN !!!
I didnt really know what to expect tonight, so thats obviously an excellent score to take to the home leg, but this is far from over.
Great result for the town. Heard it was backs to the wall for most of the match but a win is a win.
A wonder strike from Mark Quigley about 10 minutes from time. It was a goal worthy of winning any game.
Truth is that Dundalk were forunate to go in level at the break, with Glentoran hitting the woodwork and Cherrie pulling off a trademark one on one save. The second half was a different story with Dundalk dominating. On another night Jayo could have had a hatrick. Quigley's winner was a gem of a volley from the edge of the area after a corner was partially cleared.
About 200 noisey Dundalk supporters travelled tonight. No sign of any Drogs intruders trying to set flags or jerseys on fire tonight. Although I did see one really badly behaved supporter light up a ciggie in a no smoking area
Good stuff Dundalk! Taking to this competition well.
Shams 2 up - Karl Sheppard and Ciaran Kilduff
Shams romping it @ Ballyskeagh, 3 nil now (Dean Kelly)
Results:
Lisburn 0-3 Shams
Cliftonville 4-2 Crusaders.
9 changes for Rovers from the side that started in Sligo on Saturday. Amazed at the strength of our squad.
Good to see Dundalk and Rovers doing well in this competition. Shocked at how badly it is covered despite Setanta sponsoring it.
Slightly off topic, but I can't get up to Dundalk for our game on Monday night against Glentoran. Anyone know any decent League of Ireland friendly pub with Setanta in Dublin I could watch it in? Does McDowell's out in Inchicore have Setanta and open on a Monday night? I work in Bluebell so that'd be pretty handy for me if it did.
Pity ye cant make it HS. I will keep an eye out for a link for you if thats any use.
Cheers Dunny, but my internet is useless. Trying to even listen to Dundalk FM online for the away games in the Setanta was hopeless. Pub and pints is the only solution! :D
Setanta Cup schedule :
http://www.airtricityleague.ie/index...ions/3386/3386
It's a strange situation where the first semi-final is due to take place at the same time as the last quarter-final tie on April 4th.Quote:
QUARTER FINALS FIXTURES
1ST LEG MATCHES
Monday, 28th March 2011
Sligo Rovers v Portadown.
2ND LEG MATCHES
Monday, 21st March 2011
Dundalk v Glentoran; Crusaders v Cliftonville.
Tuesday, 22nd March 2011
Shamrock Rovers v Lisburn Distillery.
Monday, 4th April 2011
Portadown v Sligo Rovers.
(All matches will kick off at 7.45 pm unless they are broadcasted live on Setanta Sports which may require a slight adjustment for TV schedules)
SEMI-FINALS FIXTURES
SEMI-FINAL 1
1ST Leg: Monday, 4th April 2011 (not involving Sligo Rovers/Portadown)
2nd Leg: Monday, 18th April 2011
SEMI-FINAL 2
1st Leg: Monday, 11th April 2011
2nd Leg: Tuesday, 19th April 2011
FINAL: Saturday, 14th May 2011
This appears to indicate that they have abandoned their previously stated intention to maximise the north v south clashes (as the winner of Sligo / Portadown Q-F will automatically play in the second semi).
No word yet on when the semi-final draw will take place, although the winners on this weeks 2nd leg matches should not be kept in the dark with the first semi scheduled for only a fortnight later.
I hope that all of this uncertainty is still relevant for Dundalk at 9.35pm on Monday night!
From Ezeikial “ It's a strange situation where the first semi-final is due to take place at the same time as the last quarter-final tie on April 4th.

Comment: By March 22nd the three semi-finalists, other than the winners of the Sligo/Portadown tie, will be known. The 3 will consist of one of the following possible combinations (i) 3 IL clubs (ii); 2 IL and 1 LOI; (iii) 1 IL and 2 LOI.
From this combination it is possible to arrange a first semi-final for April 4th that excludes the Sligo/Portadown winner AND still retains the option to maximise the North/South ties.
Fair comment and good observation. For this to happen the draw could not be finalised until after the 3rd Quarter Final match on Tues 22 March
That scenario would mean
Semi 1 - 4 April & 18 April
Crusaders or Cliftonville V Unknown
Semi 2 - 11 April & 19 April
Sligo Rovers or Portadown V Unknown
The two unknowns to be filled by the winners of Dundalk/Glentoran and Shamrock Rovers / Lisburn Distillery.
Keith Wallace has compiled a brilliant preview/press kit ahead of the game against Glentoran:

Dundalk's dangerous relaxed game in the first half bites them now..despite Gentoran not looking like scoring. Game desperately needed that goal
Crusaders get 1 back, 5-4 now.
Hope Glentoran win, will have enough trips to Dundalk this year without the chance of getting them again in this, if we get through.
It was painful viewing game until the first penalty. Bizarre tactics from Foster, don't rate him as a manager at all
Semi-final draw is on Wednesday
