id give derry a chance if they get through.
pats no chance.
I'd forget about much chance of going to it tbh, i've just this week applied for a russian visa for a trip in mid august, and im slightly nervous it won't come through on time, so within a week or two would be cutting it very fine! though i think there is an option to pay extra and get it quicker.
but if anyone is applying and need help or advise let me know, as it took me a few days to get my head round the process
Lufthansa fly to Samara
Lufthansa, Aeroflot and Air Baltic but while aeroflot (via moscow) is relatively Ok (@ 600 euro), the others are pretty expensive
It's possible to get a Russian visa in a couple of days. Officially you need to have a letter from the place you are staying in with the duration of your stay during it but these can also be got fairly cheaply online. When I was going I got it emailed to me inside 24 hours, printed it off, took it to the Russian embassy in Dublin and had a Visa that same day, although it did cost E90 due to the short notice. It's 2 years since I went though- will look out any info I have on it.
has anyone mentioned bohs draw ? if they get over salzburg there drawn against dynamo zagreb or pyunik. id gice them a great chance against either though dynamo would be more tricky. derry played pyunik a few years ago and even though they went out they were a poor side back then. derry had a good few chances but never scored if i remember. if they can just get over red bull........
I think if Pyunik go through, Bohs have a terrific chance.
Would i be right in saying if Bohs go through to the 3rd qualifying round and lose they will drop down to the play-off round in the Europa League?
If they do they have a good chance in that too if they avoid some of the bigger teams, some teams in there they could beat.
No, the fourth qualifying round losers go straight to the Europa League group stages. Third qualifying round losers into the play-off.
Big tie for the muckers if they get through. Pats might fancy their chances.
You work for Aertel sam?

Selection of the pictures for the Derry game in Lativa. No home crowd at it at all.....
BTW our game in Malta has been fixed for 5.30 (4.30 Irish time) on Thursday
...and our game at Brandywell is at 7pm.
Bloody hell - Jan Koller and Jiri Jarosik play for that Russian crowd.
Can just imagine the carnage Koller would wreak against Cruyff/Dimech or Harris/Partridge.
So if Derry get to play Sofia, when will the away leg be?
And 31's well past it...
(And Koller would still destroy any LoI - or Maltese league - defence).
Wikipedia says 30 July (tie 19).Quote:

While 10,000 Ronaldo fans will pack Tallaght Stadium tomorrow night to see Real play Shamrock Rovers, true football fans are likely to keep their money in their pockets for the real deal at Dalymount Park on Wednesday, when Bohemians play Red Bull Salzburg in the Champions League second qualifying round.
