Carew V Westport

madmax has been banned for a week and notified of the banning. Thank you to the solitary person that took a minute out of their day to report the issue to me. Well done to the rest of you for responding in the most likely way to encourage him.

I'm putting this on the record now so I can refer to it later: The Junior League forum is wasting a lot of my time with with abuse and general flaming and trolling issues. If the members of this forum don't start doing more to police themselves, I will close it down.

It is important that Carew Park can prove beyond all reasonable doubt that such an infringement took place before submitting an objection, and have every right to do so. Anyhow, this "mutual hatred" between Carew Park and Westport United is getting downright stupid and boring. At this stage, all sides should call a truce, bury the hatchet and get on with the football. We all have to move on from what had been the most embarrassing 9 weeks for Irish junior soccer. Life is too short for all this carry on. In a real life or death situation, all this would be put into perspective.

Three subs were all that Westport used.
Kevin Joyce came on for David Cameron on the right wing
Eoghan Gillen came on for Gerry McLoughlin on the left
Colm Keane came on for the injured Martin Geraghty at the back
Maybe Carew are confused due to the Geraghty switch. He came off for treatment, came back on for a minute before having to come off again. Then Colm Keane came on, maybe in that cameo Carew believe two substitutions were made.
Anyhow the fourth official would only allow three. Carew should make sure they have their facts present and correct before going down this route.

Stinger, is that video being handed to the DPP? I'd say there may be a few interested Gardai who would like to get there hands on it.
The sour grapes regarding this shambles have been resurrected by Carew.
If there is a case to be made then i'm sure it will happen. The obvious risk is that the FAI will wipe their hands of the whole competition and call it all off.
That would not be a good result for anyone.
I have reviewed every inch of column space on the replay and although I hate to admit it, the hacks seem to have got it right; Westport 3 subs, Carew 2 subs. End of story. Guys who go to more matches than you or I will ever see are not going to miss that, are they? Surely, the two linesmen, Ref, fourth official, Westport Managment and half of southhill would have seen it as well?
Maybe I'm clutching at straws...seems contagious on this thread.

westport were in southill already when they played pike and had no bothers,dont compare pike and carew cos as clubs there is no comparison and the wesport lads will tell u that
