Cork AUL in two weeks, home game for the Rossies. Gerry Tully has done amazing things with the team. Donal Warde opened the scoring after 22 with a bullet from the edge of the box. Darragh Concannon made it two up to the break. Paul Kennedy got one back and MArk O'Brien made it 3-1 on 89 minutes. Ros missed a penalty as well.
Held up well yesterday, fully floodlit and they just opened the main part of the clubhouse. some of the best facilities in the country in my opinion. On a dry day the pitch is like a carpet. Even the back pitch is top quality. Has turned into the biggest sports story of the week in Roscommon outshining even the GAA!!
we had to play on the back pitch last weekend, the main pitch wasn't up to a match, the 2nd pitch was in great shape, given the conditions last weekend around Galway. I was surprised yesterdays game went ahead on it
great result to the ros league that ward fella is some athlete boxer, gaelic footballer and soccer player all at very decent levels.
Hopefully the FAI will start doing something about underage around there now(and i know there is an officer there already)
Just over a week to go to the semis, any Predictions?
AUL v Mayo
Roscommon v Cork AUL
One other thing.....
Has it ever happened that two Connacht sides made the semis and can someone tell me who was the last Connacht side to win it and when?
this game is on 14th or 15th. i think its on the 15th and i would imagine that it will be played in the aul complex in clonshaugh, dublin seen as the aul own it.
aul are favourites but i would not write this mayo squad off, best and most committed squad in years.
Roscommon v Cork is on the 15th, again at Shiven Rovers grounds.
good ros dont have to travel then. Good luck to them hopefully they get a win!

Where is Darragh Concannon?
He must be injured is he??
Both Darragh and Liam Lynch have signed for Longford and therefore cannot play in the semi final.
Good luck to the Mayo and Roscommon teams this weekend - great to see a Connacht final :D
Yes it would be great to see both Roscommon and Mayo reach the final. I think the AUL have seven or eight International players in their squad. The Mayo team will really have to be at their very best to win, but then again football is a "funny old game" as Greavsie used to say.
Roscommon have a great advantage in playing the game at home, and could cause a surprise.
Lads,
My brother is on the panel so I hope they can win the long overdue Cup. 1960 something since we won it. The rest of us always up against it with the Dubs, but lets hope one of the three of us do it. We are missing a few too so it should be close............otherwise we are going on strike in Cork!!!
