I genuinely can't decide if I want Chelsea to win the Champions League, because I hate the vast majority of their team, or Spurs to go into the CL next season because I point blank loathe the manager
from another site...
"As Trapattoni’s Euro 2012 squad are packing their bags ahead of their arrival in Dublin over the coming days, one of the twenty three in particular will be buoyant mood. Spartak Moscow’s Aiden McGeady was today named in the Russian Football Union’s list of top 33 players of the 2011/2012 season for the second time."
why 33?
3 players for each position, gold, silver and bronze.
McGeady took the silver, the highest prize earned by a Spartak player.
Alien Vs Predator?
I'd find it hard to hate Redknapp to be honest. I find his interviews refreshing, rarely critisising referees, other teams or factors outside his own sides control. He's also pretty witty. Spurs are the best side to watch in the Premier League in my opinion. I know your reasons for hating him are more than likely because of his dodgy dealings, etc. but I don't really know a whole pile about that side of things.
I'm an Arsenal fan and would love Spurs not to make it but above all else I'd hate Chelsea to win on Sat.
Chelsea Loseon Sat, Spurs Lose in the CL Qualifier hows that? (I am presuming they have to play a qualifier?)
I really don't care, a pure unadulterated apathy.
I hate him cos he went from being a happy-go-lucky useless pr!ck to a moany serious useless pr!ck.
I hate him because of his tight-trousered gimp of a son Jamie
Challenging for what? He's doing pretty well for a spoofer.
Who's claiming McGeady's a spoofer?
I want Chelsea to win, as it will mean McGeady's Spartak will be more likely to make the CL group stage. Champions League group stage experience, and the different styles of football and different conditions and atmospheres you get are huge in terms of growing a players confidence. If McGeady (who has alreadys experienced different styles) was to have 3 high profile away games at places like Dortmund/Bayern, PSG, Milan, Benfica, it would help his game. So far as I'm aware Chelsea dont have any Irish players who'll be playing CL football for them next season unless something dramatic happens with Conor Clifford. Spurs dont really have any Irish players in their first team squad or reserves.
McGeady has had loads of Champions League experience. The more the better though obviously.
I would like Bayern Munich to win as it will help Shamrock rovers, a team made up mostly of irish players!
How does it help Rovers? Does it help them bypass a qualification round?
Is there some other factor which matters besides BM winning?

Roy Keane claims McGeady is a spoofer (of sorts).
McGeady hits back
"I played with him at Celtic and that was bad enough" ... "he is just one of those guys who has an opinion on everything."
Not said was 'he had cráp opinions as a player and cráp opinions as a pundit'
Aidan McGeady hits out at Roy Keane
Nice to see the Indo trying to stir as much as possible.
Didn't Keane recently say he doesn't watch Ireland games?
His name is M'Gedy.
Fair dues to Aiden for having a go at Keane. Keane likes to dish it out but does not react so well when he gets some back.
As Kingdom has already said, did'nt Keane say he did not watch Ireland matches.
Maybe he's faking it.
Where's Keanes comments then?
I heard Niall Quinn talking about McGeady's lack of a final ball tonight on OTB. He wasn't really slagging him, just saying that if he were playing he'd prefer Duff.
In an Indo article
Aidan McGeady hits out at Roy Keane
But that's the same article? Where's Keanes comments 'dissing him? They're not quoted in there.
Keane and Townsend were reported to critical of McGeady in an ITV thing.
McGeady-tells-Roy-Keane-to-shut-it.html
Keane claimed McGeady ‘has threatened to become a top, top player but hasn’t pulled up trees and needs to do more’.
Townsend said: “It’s a toss of a coin whether he turns up or whether he doesn’t.”
McGeady doesn't criticise Keane, just probably does not value Keane's opinion about him :)
When do Keane and Townsend ever see McGeady playing on a regular basis?
How many other players from Britain and Ireland have moved so far out of their comfort zone to improve their game like McGeady? He's mostly been crap for Ireland but in the last couple of years he's really improved and this should be acknowledged.
