P.S. Aidinho da buurds in England luv the Nort Dublin inner city accent not the Glasgow wun. They tink ur jus a Gear bag if day hear da accent man.

Maybe so, as long as they are looking for either charm or personality, both being absent.

Robbie not good enough for Everton?
http://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/th...ie-Keane/page1
I reckon he's too good for anyone worse than Everton myself. Yakubu and that big stick from Belgium aren't exactly world beaters.
Okay, I'll bite.
Not good enough for who exactly? Spurs? Villa? Everton?
Good enough for Spurs, evidently, with a goal-per-game ratio of 0.39 (91 goals in 231 appearances), compared to Pavlyuchenko's record of 10 goals in 44 (0.24). Better record than Crouch too (0.21, 8 goals in 38 games) and even Defoe with 64 goals in 181 appearances for Spurs (0.35).
Better than Villa's strikers - Agbonlahor with 0.29 (45 in 156 appearances) and Carew with 0.36 (37 in 103)
Better than Everton's strikers - Saha with 0.35 (20 in 57) and Yakubu with 0.35 (24 in 68).
They're simple facts. Any other criticisms you throw at Keane are purely subjective. He's a striker. He scores goals, and as the above proves, he does it better than most.
100 caps and counting. Here's to Robbie. We haven't a hope of replacing this guy.

He was awful tonight.
He was ****e again, the guy marking him had an easy day at the office. I liked the look of Treacy who was not afraid to have a go on his debut. Sheridan is a dud I think sadly. Keogh is nowhere up to this standard, Stokes is the best option if he keeps playing well at club level and gets a few games under his belt. Given was the best player and Dunne was good also. Gibson looked awkward but he will come good. Treacy I think will be a good player for Ireland.
I don't think Gibson looked at all awkward. He always looks very composed in possession. His problem is that he's just a bit lateral and has a tendency to go into hiding amongst opposition bodies in the midfield. Whether this is a confidence issue or what, I don't know.
I thought Robbie was brilliant tonight. Did ye not see where he won a corner from nothing in the left hand side of pitch? Hit it with his weaker left foot off an Argie. Brilliant. We will never replace this guy. Sheridan was terrible.
robbie looked sharp to me, had no service really, just few not even half chances. we will never have a player like him again, 100 caps, hes a legend. glad to see keogh come on, all and all im very optimistic for the 2012 campaign.
Looked sharp & lively to me too and his touch was superb at times. Ireland weren't in the game and the service was crap.
Well done to Robbie on his 100 caps. A goal last night would have been fitting. He didn't get the service last night and you cannot score if your full backs keep giving the ball away to the ball boys.
Robbie was excellent last night, tried his heart out as usual and there was one fantastic bit of skill in the box in the 2nd half that I would love to see again. He skipped through 2 defenders with fantastic quick feet, it looked brilliant live anyway but they didnt show it on the highlights on Sky Sports news when I got home from the game.
Keane couldn't lace Messi's boots ffs...
When Messi gets near Robbies goal record and ratio at international level then maybe he can lace Robbies boots
You're consistent, I'll give you that much. It must be hard carrying so much scorn, ill-will and revulsion for one player. Especially when he's your country's captain and highest goalscorer of all time.
I can't help but feel that we will really struggle once this guy has gone. He has so much passion for playing in green and his technical ability is excellent. He is one of my favorite Ireland players of all time
An under-achiever and a failure at top clubs, misse's too many important sitters, a diving cheat and a moaning crybaby. Yes I cannot fault his enthusim for Ireland but he is too giddy at the best of times and his decision making is childish.
The summer before Keane made his club debut, we were counting on David Connolly and Keith O'Neill to lead the line in the coming years. That's the extent of how important he has been for us. In the years since, only Doyle has emerged as a good international striker. After Doyle and Keane, I think Clinton Morrison and Gary Doherty have been our highest scoring strikers in the last ten years. Scary stuff.
Doyle will not be a prolific goalscorer for Ireland sadly but he is the best of a bad lot really. I have hope for Stokes if he keeps on the right track.
