It was a poor night for attendance across the board and not just for Sporting so change the record lads, and i doubt if shels would have broke any attendance records if they played at home last night.
Hard to judge how many were in the Brandywell.
But around 100 Rovers fans up there altogethor.
Shamrock Rovers have already sold 1,100 tickets for the away game at Oriel Park tomorrow night, should be a bumper crowd for Dundalk.
Have to agree about whats been said about mid week matches (especially when clubs have to go long distances mid week) - they should cut them out in the league imo.
Usually nearly forget about them myself!! Usually im buzzing for days before a match, but I forgot all about our match on tuesday, til monday night (and a lad at work who always goes to the matches was only reminded of it tuesday morning when someone said it to him !!)
F*** all buzz about them!
Champions league also clashes (not a reason to change it, but it is an additional factor!!)
Guys, just stop the bickering and keep it on-topic please.
In fairness to Rovers 1100 heading to Dundalk so far is fantastic, easily the best supported club both home and away by a long shot.Bohs must have the worst home and away support of any team that were ever challenging for a league title--2000 average home and 100 away??
Yeah it will be fantastic to see Rovers in Europe next year, would be great if they could draw a scottish side at some stage would love to see the away support-hard to beat what Derry bought to Gretna though
Derry V Sligo 1,723
1,701 at the Cross tonight. Must be the lowest in a long while for a league match.
1,471 at Terryland for Galway United V. Da Bohs including around 200 visiting fans.
About 4500+ at the Showgrounds tonight.
350 or so at the Bowl. Think a few Shels fans popped along and left rather disappointed. :)
I'd estimate 3,750 at Oriel Park for Dundalk v Shamrock Rovers.
